McVay and Snead were given a certain group to work with, a decent core on both sides of the ball.
They then upped the ante and fit in some different players they thought they may be able to go even higher with. 2 Super Bowls and 4 playoff appearances resulted.
Now they've maxed that out, pretty much anyway. Time to pay the piper.
It may take 2 more years, but I think they will manipulate a major change, keeping some core players along the way. I'm really not that concerned as I think they have demonstrated the ability to get the production they want.
