The Rams had the 4th most dead money in 2021 at $39.2M. [www.turfshowtimes.com] Oh, yeah ... they also won the Super Bowl that season.

The cap in 2021 was $182.5M so that $39.2M represented 21.5% of the cap.

This year's dead money is more: $52.8M. But the cap is also more: $224.8M. This season the Rams' dead money accounts for 23.5% of the cap. (Yup: 2% more than in that Super Bowl season.)
