Our old way was never sustainable forever. And I'm excited for the rumors that Mcvay wants to build an all out assault on offense with a defense that can hold it's water. I think the loading up on defense philosophy manifested due to Mcvay being a young offensive head coach (sorta like hiring wade Phillips). But now Mcvay is gonna build this with his identity in mind! Can't wait to see who that entails and what it looks like.
And I fully believe that the new defensive coaches will turn some of the these young guys into nice chess pieces. And some draft picks too.
