IMHO.....Matt Ryan is the best option for #2 QB that I have heard in a long time.
Put it this way......
Stafford is our #1 QB.....Best thing for the Rams is for him to be healthy, play behind a HEALTHY OLINE and never come off the field.
Ryan #2 QB.....Basically gets a breath of fresh air, gets 100% mentally and physically healthy and just enjoys the SoCal sunshine and play some golf! That's the reward for being a what, 12-15 year NFL veteran. He'll be cheaper than Mayfield and BETTER THAN MAYFIELD in McVay's offense, he'll look like an All-Pro again.
Drafted Rookie #3 QB.......Or, a YOUNG FA the Rams have their eye's on....Develop behind these 2 QB's would be a dream come true for ANY young QB!
If I understood his contract correctly, he will be paid $12M this year to sit on his sofa.
Where is his incentive to be Rams backup?
If and I say "if" he can't get a starter job somewhere, I would say getting paid $12 Mil to come to Los Angeles and play with Sean McVay is a pretty good incentive 43.
Again, "if" he can't get a starter gig, what better team/HC could make him look better as a QB2 and increase his value for 2024?
McVay still has that "it" factor going for him. Play or coach for McVay and you got a great chance of getting paid or promoted elsewhere.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
