It is not coincidence that our fortunes turned the moment Stan hired him. It's not a coincidence that he has won a ring, almost won another one, and has had his staff plundered by owners every offseason since he's been our head coach. The guy is supremely skilled as a leader and manager and installer of culture, which is what we lacked for so many years while we watched other teams win titles.
Now we're the team who wins the titles. Lot of posters here love to lap up 9er nonsense but tell me how many titles they have of late. They'll have you thinking we should be more like the 9ers. But we're the organization that has the right leadership in place, and the 9ers are the organization that has an amazing OC masquerading as a head coach who can't win it all even with a fantastic roster.
We Not Me. That is our culture.
Wasn't too long ago the same posters were wailing and gnashing their teeth over Goff being traded. How'd that work out for them. Not well. It's why they're back with a vengeance now trying to make up for lost opportunity.
McVay is not perfect. The guy has plenty of flaws. But he correctly deduced that he needed to deal Ramsey, and that will be proven over time. I didn't like Floyd leaving, but this is a business and we have to reload because we accomplished the title and as happens in this league winners tend to get picked over. Tell me why there hasn't been a back to back title winner in so many years. It is because this league will steal your brain trust and your talent on the field the very next offseason.
Nobody is expecting this team to do a thing now. Nobody. Is that too much for you to handle as a fan? If so you sure have gotten spoiled quickly. If you are a fan who goes back, rewind your mind to the times that you previously survived, under Georgia. Get some perspective man. So many overreacting children in electronic Ramsdom right now that frankly it's almost sickening. I get that you get attached to players, but if you want to follow Goff or Ramsey knock yourself out. There's the door. We'll see you this time next year after the Rams outperform the expectations of the media as they usually do.
And if not, then a little more adversity as a fan isn't the worst thing. Polish that Lombardi and get over your BS. IMO as always.
