Donald and Stafford are short timers any way you look at it.
Stafford is getting more and more banged up and less mobile all the time. Is he even "healthy" yet? How long do you think he's going to last? Does he want to function like a normal person in the future?
Donald has had a foot out the door for a couple of years. Trade him closer to Pittsburgh and reinvigorate him.
You think either one of them is going to be more enthusiastic about playing in 2024 if the Rams have another 5-12 year?
Might as well embrace the rebuild right now and get assets in return.
