The Rams started the simulation (for lack of a better word) 14.89m over the cap. And 2024 was 2.9m over the cap.

I traded Ramsey, traded Robinson, pre 6/1 cut Wagner and pre 6/1 cut Floyd just to see the immediate savings:

The Rams would be 5.55m under the cap in this scenario. So they cleared 20m in cap room, but still not much to work with and created some massive holes. But the real savings are they go into the 2024 season with 76.84m under the cap.

Now I traded Ramsey, traded Robinson, and cut Wagner and Floyd post 6/1:

In this scenario 2023 cap went to a shade over 21m in cap space (again, 16m is unusable until 6/1) and 2024 has the Rams 61.34m under the cap.

If you add into this scenario restructuring Kupp, you can get to 35m under the cap, with 19m available immediately. It lowers 2024s cap from 61.34 under to 56.61m under.

To me, if the Rams are gonna get rid of Ramsey (sounds like they are tired of him in the lockerroom) get rid of Floyd and AR, then do it post 6/1, restructure Kupp and kick the can down the Road, because at most you have AD and Stafford for 2 more years. Get some space, reload short term and keep your window open for 2 more years. Look, the Bucs won a SB, kept their window open for 2 years after that and are now looking to rebuild. Its the nature of the beast.
