That's a great question...
My answer is actually based on my experience in fantasy football.
I'm in numerous dynasty leagues and I do pretty well.
When it comes to the RB position I scout at three levels ...
1) Immediate Impact
2) Likely Takeover
3) Good Handcuff
So one year I drafted R Stevenson. Next year Khalil Herbert.
I got them both late.
That's what I'm looking for this year for us. High talent that could use a year but is able to go of needed.
Both Stevenson and Herbert are 100 yard backs. But they weren't sure things coming out.
So if Akers plays well he's an RFA which means we can match if we want. If we don't then we can either draft a rookie high or ride with our version of Herbert or Stevenson.
I usually don't listen too hard to the talking heads but would note that D Jeremiah said he saw l3 starters in the group. He and I are on the same page there.
With 13 guys that can start, one will likely be there in the 5th.
Also, I have an unfair advantage in that I know the quality of the next class coming out where we have all our picks still.
So I'm sure that if we want to grab someone with game changing ability we can.
But ... to re address...
Stevenson was round 4.
Herbert I believe round 6.
Aaron Jones round 5.
Dameon Pierce round 4.
