I'll say that. His production was double in those last 5 games vs. his first 5. For the season Football Outsiders rated him 61st among 85 ranked WRs. PFF had him 65th out of 113.
Hopefully a full offseason working with Stafford and having a healthier group around him this year can open up more of what they hoped and expected when he was signed. I would give him 2024 to show that. Bolster the OL. Improve the running game. Get Stafford and Kupp 100%. Add a good TE2. The whole offense can and would function a lot better.
As for team speed at WR, I think they have plenty in Kupp and Jefferson. Of course situationally Atwell as well.
Not that I'd be against drafting a WR if the value shows up at some point, but I'm good with bringing back the group they have- Kupp, Robinson, Jefferson, Skowronek, Atwell and Powell (plus McCutcheon).
Well said, 93.
AR did many things well in last year’s fiasco of an O.
Fix the OL so Stafford will be once again protected.
Add a stud TE to diversify the O.
Call more running plays to distract D’s.
Bolster the RB corps to add another threat for D’s to think about.
Run more 12 sets.
More RB screens, please.
Do the above and Rams will have a solid and very effective O once again and AR will definitely catch the well placed throws and the contested catches which is his real job.
All McVay needs to do is use him properly after tweaking the above.
