It's the wrong move to let him unless you are confident you can do better and I am not sure we can. Kickers are cheap compared to most positions. If we can find ways to "manipulate" the cap for the bigger stars and larger money, why can't we do it for Gay at a lower amount of money?

Should be easier than the larger contracts, right?

We need a good "reliable" kicker. Gay fits that mold and has done nothing to make anyone think he will not continue to be good. Sign him!
