we've seen noteboom in the starting left tackle position for extended periods of time before. He played pretty well. So it's not that he's not capable of playing that spot. He had some rough games against bosa and Miller but they're two of the greatest pass rushers in the league so who wouldn't. I'm slowly starting to sour on Brian allen. I think he's a good Center if the rest of your line is good but I don't know if he's a reasonable Center if the line is average or inconsistent. I think his liabilities are highlighted in those instances. The problem with both of them is that they just don't stay healthy. Noteboom is an incredible prospect so I'd personally be fine with starting him at left tackle next year with the Jackson at left guard and ready to take over if boom struggles. Allen on the other hand, I'd really prefer John Michael-Schmitz at this point.
My biggest problem with Allen is his inability to stay healthy. It’s a deal breaker for me.
Rams simply need to upgrade at OC and I’m halfway hoping Schmitz will be the pick at 36.
Agreed. However I don't want to reach for a center just because. This center class isn't my fave. If JMS is gone then I don't want a center just because we want one. Putting a rookie center in the middle of the line isn't always a plus. JMS is worth the risk. I dunno about the others.
