When I was a kid, my mom made me sit and eat certain foods until I was overstuffed and half-sick. I've developed a similar allergic reaction to Tom Brady.
His "victory" over a Warner-led Ram team disrupted careers, corrupted the league (anybody still think that Billyboy burned ALL the tapes?) and compromised the confidence of football fans. WE no longer trust the integrity of the game - especially where Tommyboy's involved.
For as long as Donald has been around, our pressure up the middle against Brady has nullified Brady. The Goff-led Super Bowl was our to lose and we found a way. Brady isn't the Ram nemesis or wide scale influencer that the article would lead us to believe.
The immediate challenges clearly at hand for the Rams will be the same tomorrow as they were yesterday: hire coaches that McVay can trust and build a collaborative staff with; refurbish the O line; develop an edge rush - somehow; and find effective safety help. There are other tasks also to be addressed (RB, bckup QB, TE,) but none of them are even indirectly influenced by Brady. He ain't all that.
His retirement isn't enough. With his recent pronouncements on what the officials should do, etc. it appears that he'll never just... simply...
go away.
