The fact that this is a major blow...to their 3rd string QB says a lot about how bare their QB cupboard is. They wouldn't commit to Jimmy G for performance and health issues, granted they are legitimate concerns, but then they keep him hanging around, rather than move him for draft capital. The guy they pinned their hopes on - Trey Lance, hasn't exactly lit it up when he's played and he hasn't played much. And then he's hurt. So they'll roll into another year of QB uncertainty and the just 'see how she goes' from there? Interesting to see if they make a move for someone like Brady. He's old, but he doesn't miss games.
