I think not

I'm confused. Sean McVay was the head coach when Goff was with the Rams. Why is McVay getting the blame/credit for Goff's development?? Yeah, he's the overseer but he's NOT the developer, at least not the way I see it. Shouldn't a quarterback's development be the responsibility of the Quarterback's coach? The QB coaches Goff had when he was with the Rams were Chris Weinke (2016), Greg Olson (2017), and Zac Taylor (2018). In 2019 and 2020, the Rams didn't even have a QB coach. They had Assistant QB coaches. Zac Robinson was the Assistant QB coach in 2019 and Liam Coen was the Assistant QB coach in 2020. After that, Goff was shipped off to Detroit. So, in terms of development, Goff didn't have a whole lot of consistency in his earlier years and perhaps none at all in his last two years. Also, with no QB coach, there was no buffer between Goff and McVay in terms of Goff's performance and that's also when we began to see deterioration in Goff. I'm just sayin'....
