I just don't think they have the resources to sign an OL to a big free agent deal. They are going to have to wait for a mid-priced veteran that's released (per the Rams comp pick formula they like) and go after him. Maybe that's a center, maybe LG.
I would slide Shelton over and pencil him in at center. It's his better position and I think he's better than Allen.

It's probably his best position, but I'm not really comfortable as Shelton as the anchor of the O line. He's average at best, but considering the team's financial restraints he might be the best option.
