I understand it's the consensus that the Rams sold out for the one.... I really don't think that's true. I don't know about a 'dynasty' but I believe the Rams built with the intention of being competitive for certainly longer than 1 year and probably 3 or 4.... I also think they were on target for just that and one need go no further than the injuries to explain what happened.
But I also think they neglected the OL... NOT in their minds but I think that was their achilles heel even without the injuries.
As for the Niners... .yeah, distasteful as it is I have to agree. But they also got lucky... Purdy? Odds dictate that some team has to be luckier than others and SF has it in spades. We hit with Warner but other than him have the Rams just 'stumbled' onto an elite player other than Warner? - JamesJM
