I've been pondering this for the past week. McVay really needs some strong individuals that can take on their roles while also challenging McVay.
McVay, I feel would be best served to become more of an executive and therefore needs a seasoned, but creative OC.
Considering the Jets just parted ways with Lefluer, I'm not sure he's that guy. Might be great helping Sean, but I don't get the feeling he'd take the OC and Sean would step back.
Now Sean is never going to totally step back from calling, but best scenario is he is an inputer to the choice being made.
But to me here is the big rub.....
What top notch coach is going to come to the Rams when you consider the year they just had and most importantly for the previous two off-season, the HC, McVay has contemplated quitting.
Would you give up the safer looking option. I would guess, they would need guaranteed contracts of 3 to 5 years to safe guard.
I'm really intrigued to see what happens and totally open to seeing a different view from our board.
