It would seem unfair, but do the Rams make a change on the offensive line and Kevin Carberry? No position group was impacted more by injuries than the offensive line and players such as Alaric Jackson and Chandler Brewer are young players who seemed to be developing well. Still, any change wouldn’t be surprising at this point.

I get it that Carberry is drawing side-ways glances in some circles, but to me the OL injuries fall more onto the lap of the Rams' Director of Strength & Conditioning Justin Lovett. Lovett has only been with the team for 2 years so it wouldn't be all that painful to part ways and bring in someone new and perhaps with a bit more of a resume.

Lovett spent 2019 as an intern with the Broncos and then spent the next 2 years as their assistant strength and conditioning coach before spending 9 years in the college ranks at three different schools. (The Rams plucked him from football powerhouse Purdue University after he served as their Strength & Conditioning Coach for 5 seasons.)

We all know the OL was devastated but to me it seems like Carberry did a decent job with the 4th and 5th string OL he was handed.

But it wasn't just the OL that got banged up. The Rams currently have 16 guys on IR including Kupp, Robinson, Jordan Fuller, A'Shawn Robinson, Jacob Harris, Jake Gervase, Nick Scott, and Matt Stafford. Donald has been hurt, too, although not on IR and a slew of other players have missed time with injuries, too. Wanna see a list? Check out this article: "The Rams' list of injuries this season is almost unfathomably long" [theramswire.usatoday.com]

By contrast the 49ers have 6 guys on IR. Is it because the Rams played in the SB and had a short offseason? Maybe not - The Bengals only have 7 guys on IR.
