I actually forgot about Coryell for some reason, was thinking too much about Bobby Ross. Carroll Rosenbloom liked Coryell too, should of hired him over George Allen, but should of hired Bill Walsh over Allen too, that is who Rosenbloom liked and was leaning towards, but his son Steve & Don Klosterman liked Allen as his son Steve said to him "All George Allen does is win." Problem is, Allen's post season record was worse than Chuck Knox.
The reincarnation of Allen was as bad as the reincarnation of Knox in Anaheim. Although I'll give Knox a pass because the Witch of West's priority those days was the move to St. Louis, not the product on the field.
Passing on Walsh was probably the biggest gaffe in franchise history. Still makes me ill.
