No, not at all......But, I'm sure they both had discussions each week about it and NOTHING CHANGED....That's the issue.
When McVay hired Brandon Staley, he wanted an innovative person calling the defense. You know, there's a time and place for man vs zone coverage, to call a blitz or not call one. McVay wanted something different at least once in a while with a "reason" behind it. Don't just stay in a Zone because that's "what you do."
McVay knew with all the injuries this season it was going to be a tough road until players got healthy.
He was the Captain trying his best to fix the leaking vessel.
