Braves scored all their runs in the 9th with Carlos Martinez on the mound for the Cardinals as the closer. I have ZERO confidence in Martinez as a closer and haven't all season. He's streaky in that sometimes he's focused, but most of the time, he's not. We'll lead a game for 8 innings and the opposing batters will get runs off him while we bite our nails down to the knuckles hoping we can hang on for a W. Today it was Cards-1, Braves-0 until the 9th inning which is where they scored all 3 of their runs. 'Course the whole team didn't help their cause by not scoring runs all game either, but you at least expect the closer to be able to hold the line A couple of ace closers are on my Cardinals 2020 wish list.
