That's exactly why I've kept my landline, too. They're reliable as heck, if my wireless or router go out... I still have phone communication. I actually prefer talking on my landline rather than my cell phone. I think the reception is better. I know there are people who have given up their landlines and say they don't miss them, but I'm not one of them. I'll keep my landline until AT&T tells me I can't. I like keeping my landline around... just in case. It gives me peace of mind.
