So I hate to burst your balloon... and I could be WRONG... but I think they have that. NOT NordicTrack, my treadmill, but I think video gaming interaction IS available.... somewhere.
Actually I only bought the treadmill to 'begin'. Once our soil dries from all the rain I'll be headed outdoors.. I'm not in indoors person. After I leave the house hopefully my family will take advantage of the treadmill... and I HOPE I'll pick it up again next winter when the mud gets too deep to walk/run outdoors. - JamesJM
There's no way I am ever going to approach anyone about doing something like that... or anything really. If I can't make it myself its not going to happen.
I did some browsing but I couldn't really find something I would do. I saw that something like an all out action video game and VR headset, etc. is available. I didn't really consider that but then I just want to leisurely walk and be able to interact with my surroundings and maybe have some kind of historic mystery game theme. I don't want to shoot people and be jumping or be in a foot race... it's too elaborate and it would kill me. lol Nordictrack has something that has like a personal trainer on a video screen...
Another thought is there are already virtual worlds online... these are worlds that you just basically walk through and interact with other people. It seems hard to believe that a treadmill's rate of speed can't be translated to the game with a relatively simple device. It would be kind of lame but better than what I've seen. At least maybe you could make some friends and all go walking together or something... if you can type and walk at the same time. lol not sure i could.
On youtube they have people who have walked through towns/cities streets and walking trails and I think people can walk on their treadmills while they watch the video. That's probably the closest thing I've seen that I would want to do.
