Good points, James. Frankly, I am really tired of everything seemingly making the effort "to entertain". Don't misunderstand, I like entertainment, but I don't expect everything I watch to be "entertaining". I don't want the news to be entertainment. Just give me the facts, and be clear, honest, sincere, trustworthy and forthright about it. It may not be entertaining, but it's informative and interesting. I don't want the NFL Network to be what it's become: where they put on stupid hats and masks, do silly skits and became the amateur version of The Tonight Show. When they did that, I stopped watching it. In fact, I hardly watch ANY sports shows on any network anymore because they've really lowered their standards by morphing into crap trying to entertain me. The best "reality" tv is the real McCoy, life as it really happens, not the scripted, contrived, Hollywood stuff. And I could be wrong in feeling this way, but I think a lot of the ruin of so many things in this country all point to the rise of social media and technology in general. People may love it, but it ain't all good and it's going to get worse.
