Also... the temptation to see how far I could get if I hopped the fence and started running across the lawn.

Here's my estimate... in my youth, when I was greased lightening... I'd have a 50/50 chance of touching the White House... maybe not the front door, but some part of the White House.

Today, slowed by age, and an inability to run further than 30yds I think I could get to the first tree.. not bad for my age, but hardly noteworthy.
