The Rams do a good job with the UDFA types but honestly if you were to take every dev type on the roster you'd have a ton of "what if's" with two positions those being OL and LB. And in general most of those "what if's" are not going to be diamonds in the rough. Most of them will be churned out of the league by the three to five year point as each new and more affordable class fills bottom roster spots.
So there is a need for an infusion of talent in those two groups. OL doesn't need a ton of help IMO, but they could use a leader who is young and on top of his game and a center. LB is really two position groups with a ton of "what if's" in play, and there is more talent on the roster at OLB but they both could use key additions to raise the talent level and limit how many miracles you require to field a good team.
ILB is by far our worst position in terms of talent. And our new DC is used to talented LB groups from his time in Chicago and Denver. So the writing is on the wall I think for additions to be made to that group.
