He is not the threat he has been in the past. At best he is a decent tailback-at least from what I see on the tv.
OTOH the defense has considerably improved from when McVay took over and now is the best yet. However, the offense must rely on the likelihood that their receivers are collectively the best in the NFf-which they may well be. And Goff is not yet in the same category as Brees. So without the threat of the running attack- we once had with a "normal" Gurley -we must rely on 1)defense 2) Goff 3) finally our receivers.
Warning: this is only the 2d game in and I suspect coaches will recognize the above and work to neutralize the receivers and Goff. Simply put, I don't think this year will be as easy as last year-unless it will be all about the defense. IMO we will be looking at low scoring Ram games the rest of the season.
