As a rule no young OL player is going to shine if he is put out there with 4 other young players. Unit cohesion and chemistry count too much on the OL to ever expect anything different.

If you field an entire OL of young inexperienced guys it is just not going to look good to viewers like us.

If we wanted them to look good, then it would be better if they subbed in one at a time with the starting OL.

So my guess is they don't care how they look right now---they're coaching them up and giving them experience.

Whether or not we want 4 preseason games played this way (and played this way, without any starters, it will NOT be entertaining) it is still the case that the coaches are making good use of those games.

Put young linemen under stress, review the film, coach em up, do it again. Then your keepers are just that much more experienced. So it has value. We may not like watching it as fans, but from the coaching perspective, it's useful.
