Yeah, to me people that are being critical of the game Sunday and McVay are not unappreciative of what the team is doing. And those not being critical are not unaware that there are some definite areas that need improvement.
I'll have to disagree when much of that criticism is based on the Rams not running enough and McVay being "arrogant". The latter is unfounded unless one can read minds and the former is ludicrous considering they rushed for well over 200 yards and won the game by rushing far more than they passed.
There weren't a bunch of gadget plays or fake punts or onside kicks or 2 point conversions instead of PAT's...there wasn't anything to indicate that McVay was being disrespectful or taking the Broncos lightly. He was constantly adjusting the approach and gradually increased our MVP's workload as it became apparent the passing game was struggling.
There are far too many fans confusing confidence with arrogance. It's really too bad that they don't see great coaching when it's right in front of them. I love Martz but this is a game that he would have lost. Vermeil too. Those GSOT teams didn't go undefeated and weren't infallible but this team has yet to fall.
With all that this team has gone through and displayed over the years it's downright disgusting that Rams fans can be this quick to start criticizing the coach. For ridiculous reasons to boot. Seriously folks, the team is 6-0 and people want to @#$%& about "only" rushing for 270 yards?!? I'm not going to criticize McVay for sprinkling in some passing plays in a 2nd half where we held the ball for 20+ minutes. In fact, I'm going to commend him for adjusting on the fly and managing a game where his young QB was struggling and his supposed vaunted defense once again couldn't get pressure on the QB, much less get off the field.
The Rams defense hasn't nearly been as advertised, the receiving corps is beat up, we're missing our all-pro kicker, teams are adjusting and getting more and more film on how McVay is doing things, Goff still has things to learn and this isn't an injury free, under the radar team taking advantage of a system that is taking the league by storm. Yet, here we are. Undefeated. In relatively comfortable fashion. Appreciate what you've got everyone. This window won't stay open long and you're going to miss enjoying it if you want to @#$%& about trivialities.
