We could win without AD, dz.
Same thing for Gurley.
Not as easily and maybe not quite as often, but we would win games.
The other 21 starters plus the ST are that good.
But if we lose Goff, I think we’re toast for the playoffs.
I believe that the AD mania has become overblown, tbh.
I agree we could "win" without AD or Gurley. For that matter, we could win without Goff.
Winning four, five, or six games fits that definition.
Our key difference, I guess, is in how much we each think we would win without those players.
Last year, we wouldn't have gotten close to the playoffs missing any of those three for the full season.
This year we added a lot to the defense, so our chances at making the playoffs this year missing one of those three are much higher.
On one hand, we could have a dominant D now that carries us if either Goff or Gurley were missing.
OTOH, missing AD could be lessened because we signed Suh.
My instinct is to agree that this year we wouldn't make the playoffs without Goff (mostly b/c Mannion is a big unknown) and
possibly would make them without AD or Gurley but in no way would I agree that the importance of AD or Gurley is overblown in some way.
I'd put AD and Gurley as equal impact, both right behind Goff. But that's me...
