the more successful the offense will be. I mean if ever became an actual threat then the decoy thing would work better. It appears that McVay wants to give him the ball enough to keep the defense honest. And hard to argue with the results at this point. But if Austin could break a few big plays, Gurley and everyone is going to benefit from it.
Knowing the offense is very important to McVay. I think it trumps talent. Once McVay gets comfortable with Austin running routes (IF that happens) it will stress a defense even more. Austin and Mcvay have talked about it as something that is being worked on... whether it happens? idk. It might not have to.
