Old Goat
1st down- Stare down throw to McRobberts, who fell down.
2nd down- Stare down throw to McRobberts. Dropped pass.
3rd down- Stare down throw to Spruce five yards short of the marker. He catches the pass.
That's one series, but I saw the same play thrown to him multiple times on third down. He was never worked in otherwise.Never said he's a world beater, but you can't make a cake out of sawdust. I just want receivers that catch the ball. Sick and tired of drops and fumbles. I've had a decade plus of that. I'll take a scrub that can handle the rock over potential "superstars" any day of the week.
Spruce definitely had an underwhelming game, OG.
But we know that he can catch the ball.
Question is, can he get open? On 3rd down beyond the 1st down marker, that is?
Doesn't look particularly good for him now after this underwhelming game and since Watkins was added to the WR corps.
