I raised this very point in a post game thoughts thread.
So yeah, this kinda resonates with me.
Fisher has a serious man crush on Tavon, no question. But where is the production?

Here goes again. Tavon is not a receiver. Or at least not a pure receiver---he's a multiple weapon. If you want to measure his value you have to look at combined yards.
So far when you add rushes, returns, and receptions he has 415 combined yards.
They have been running him less this year and throwing to him more. So far, until recently, that has resulted in modest production by him as a receiver because for a while there, he and Keenum were not on the same page. It's hard to say whose fault that was, though it's most likely both of them. However, recently, it looks like they are mending that.
I put "discussion" in quotation marks in the title because it usually seems like the "discussion" never actually advances. It's just people repeating the same things. So it goes like this---someone says, Tavon does not have big receiving yards. And someone replies, well you have to add up the different ways he contributes, he's not a pure receiver. Then the first someone says, Tavon does not have big receiving yards.
Etc.
