Even with the mistakes from Goff I think we'll be able to, (at least somewhat, and I think significantly) see the tell-tale signs of his talent and chances for success down the road. For me, anyway, this would be fine (even with some setbacks), should the 'tell-tale' signs point to getting out of this offensive funk we're in. Even if, God forbid, the signs are negative at least one would be aware of it and better prepare a contingency plan.
But again, like Speed says, personally I'm not confident that Fisher can make that determination... and I don't say that believing him a fool or a dunce when it comes to football - I mean that I don't think Fisher can see beyond his very specific and micromanaged approach to coaching the game and the type of players he wants. With Goff, or Mannion, I would be very surprised to see anything different at all regarding his game planning and calls during the games. Put another way... Fishers sees a QB and not individuals... and yes, I know many will disagree with that vehemently. - JamesJM
