'flashes of greatness'... which, arm-wise, I believe I've seen. In comparison...
As everyone knows I really like what I've seen from Mannion... and just like Goff I haven't seen enough to make any firm decision - but that said -
While I have seen what I think is a very good arm, very good awareness, and really believe he can make any team a good starting QB.. I have NOT seen what I would call 'flashes of greatness'.
I'm sure this next is 'all in my head'.... never the less it certainly seems true to me.
Watching rookies, or any player the Ram's are 'developing'... they have a look to them, when out on the field, of 'overthinking' things. I wouldn't call it 'deer in the headlights' but there is a tentativeness to them - and a tentativeness that I don't see, often anyway, from rookies or players in development with other teams. Makes me wonder anyway. - JamesJM
