My daughter just sent me a photo of 99 in Tulare County and both lanes are a lake. I can't tell where the photo was taken but it must be close to town because there are a few businesses in the background. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
A partner in my ranch drove past the gate to get in yesterday, before the big storm hit. Can't get into my ranch because the creeks are flooding. Snow level is definitely low.... about 2' at the bottom of our ranch where it almost never snows. And like I said, this was before the big storm all last night. My grandson wants to pack in on foot. :laughing At his age he probably could do itby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but this was so long ago i don't really remember how they were made.... but I do know they weren't the blue glasses. The lenses were different... I mean the shape of the area on the lens that did whatever they did to help.... they looked like regular lenses.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
This is a photo of the Coast Range... NOT the Sierra Nevadas, (the truly big mountains). highest peaks in this area of the Coast range is about 5,000'... most mountains are under 4,000'. This view is not from my home... but close. In a normal year we might see a light dusting of snow on the very tops of these mountains once, maybe twice a year. And not across all the mountains but only tby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
After posting the above message I did an internet search... found some glasses they say work for night, low light conditions, and bought them. How confident am I that they'll actually help? Not very... but hey, worth a try for $25. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
When I was getting some new reading glasses some years back the optometrist asked me if I'd like some computer glasses. He said it would help if you're looking at a computer screen often... I got a pair and believe it or not... they DID help. But he also said they make glasses for night time driving... I didn't need a prescription for anything but reading in those days so I didn't get a pair.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
the doves outside my bedroom windows. They're coo'ing like always. Not sure why Doves insist that I must be awake by 4:30am. Question for you... being surrounded by trees is new for me. As you probably know... this was all open ground until VERY recently. Cotton, Barley, Wheat, Alfalfa, Sugar Beets, Tomatoes, Onions.... but today? Almonds, everywhere... and a few Pistachio's. I know where the puddles puddle on all the rural roads within 15 miles of my home... but last night near Fresno I hit several that definitely cleared any mud build-up I may have had stuck to the bottom of my car.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
About 5:30 I made my way, in the dark, to the kitchen to pour myself a cup of coffee. Nearly stepped on several people. I don't know who they are. My best guess is that some team players came by, at the invite of my grandson, to console each other after yesterday's loss. But that's just a guess... might be cheerleaders invited by my granddaughter who was voted their leader/coach on Friday?by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Last night i made a decision... unless it's an emergency I'm no longer going to drive at night in the rain. To be honest... I don't know how much worse my vision is in those conditions than young drivers, all the other drivers on the road - - but I did not trust myself. I think it's the 'glare'? It was bad weather... the roads were covered in water... and when a car would approach I coby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Yeah, it was. Last night, in pouring rain, our girl's lost to Exeter in OT. Soccer. I thought sure they'd cancel the game in such horrible conditions... and try today, or tomorrow, but they played it.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Happy to have made the championship game, however. Looks like sports are done for us this year. Ashton said he wants some time off so no baseball and no track. Can't blame him... between football and basketball it was a lot of practice time, not to mention stress.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
What people are worried about is the word isn't out. Most schools, Kerman included, have been using GoFans to buy tickets all year.. all sports. In fact, that's the only way you could get a ticket. So the worry is that people will just assume they have to get tickets online. Social Media in Kerman is hot and heavy right now with people spreading the word to buy at the ticket office, notby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
You're right, of course, that would definitely out perform WiFi and by a lot... but wow running the cable!by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I wasn't thinking right.... I was thinking 'at the gate' price. If they buy on Ticketmaster it would cost them closer to $315 to watch just the basketball game.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
for the basketball championships today. No one knows why... I guess they did it just because they can. Some of our players have very big families. One player I know has 3 brothers, 2 sisters, his Mom and Dad. It's going to cost them somewhere around $140 today to watch their son/brother play basketball. THEN.... They are traveling, (as am I), to another town where we'll watch our girlby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Tomorrow, as stated in the posts in this thread, are the Valley Championship High School Basketball games. $28 at the gate for 2 adults. On Ticketmaster? $70. Ticketmaster doesn't need to be investigated... they need to be nuked. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'll have to chew his ass out. :laughing Nah, I miss many typo's that get posted... you're just a very good post reader who sees to the 'point' and overlooks the goofs. I'm not as good as you but I do overlook typo's others make... far more interested in their point than the common misuse of "Their, They're, and There". :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
If I can't figure it out I just stop using whatever is causing the problem. :laughing Well, almost.... synch issue problems I will work on, (not always easy)... so my phone, laptop, and desktop stay in synch with contacts, music, important files, etc.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
both their apps, (maybe they have more?), YouTube and YouTubeTV are available on all the media player devices. For example: I have YouTube and YouTubeTV on my AppleTV and as you know... Apple and Google do NOT get along. Both, however, can and do make things just a tad more complex and difficult in hopes you convert entirely to their system. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm still the guy friends call to repair their computers.... but things like using all the social media sites? I'm lost. I get things done, my way... but my way and the way the sites intended to be used can be very different.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Even on a full sized keyboard the amount of typo's I make is astronomical. Seems I cannot complete a sentence today without a mistake... and often a severe mistake. I am slowly getting into the habit of reviewing every thing I type to correct all the typo's but it's frustrating. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Anything other than 'over the air' will suffer some degree of being behind. Not so bad news: It's no where near as bad as those streams. Also... there is a button you can push to skip to live... so for example if you pause to take a wizz when you get back you can continue from where you paused OR skip to 'live' which will put you very close to 'live'...not quite. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
any of several devices...someone here mentioned the Firestick... cheap, works well. I used AppleTV..NOT as cheap, works well.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
which is how all tech is going. I can't type well at all on smartphone.... big, fat, broken fingers from a life farming and drumming do not make for agile small movements. I have posted to this board from my phone but VERY few times. And since I don't use my phone often I don't know much about how to use it. Swipe here for this, there for that, up, down, sideways, diagonally, while standiby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I don't see if often where a fan, probably a parent, gets tossed but it does happen. That happened in the first half... so whoever the guy was he drove 3 hours to the game then saw less than half the game before being exiled. The players that were ejected actually met with a few of our players after the game... AND congratulated them. Heat of the moment type of thing, I suppose. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Umm, yeah mostly Catholics. I'm Catholic... but other christians do it as well... not sure which denominations. It's kind of odd because I think more people show up for ashes than nearly all other important Christian days of importance, except Christmas. I'm getting the hang of playing hymns via bluetooth. It took a lot of practice to get it right.. fade in and out.... mostly not haviby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
they did the same with OBJ. The new guy just doesn't get the targets. McVay? Stafford? I don't know.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
don't worry... this post isn't 'religious' in nature. We have a couple corks, (wine bottle corks), that someone, (definitely not me), carved into the shape of a cross to use in applying ashes to the foreheads of parishioners. Me and another guy have the applying ashes duty. It's a very simple technique... lightly dab the cork into the ashes and press against the person's head. You canby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
