First..McVay is an elite coach!! ... but... Second... Rams should have gone for it on .. what was it? Fourth and 14 or so mid-field with 4 minutes (appx) to go. Here's why... 1. The one outcome that ends the game in Detroits favor is for Detroit to get the ball and get a first down. Game over. 2. If the Rams go for it on fourth down near midfield, and don't make it, that's basicallyby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Your post deserves an "I agree" response. Well said, and I'm proud of the Rams also! This team far exceeded all expectations I had going into the season. What a great season, especially the second half. There were some tough no calls yesterday also, and the red zone woes continue.....but...a loss is a loss. And if any city deserves a moment of glee, it's Detroit. We will see tby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I've been "posting" this several times. WR is a top three need!! Through FA and Draft team needs: CB, OLB (pass rush), WR, T, S Kupp is no longer Kupp. We need another WR for sure to take advantage of Stafford and McVay's great offensive mind.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
If McVay is not elite, than who is? Shanahan? What super bowl has he won? He LOST the SB for the Falcons with his crap play calling. McVay is a great coach and a great leader. No doubt.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
My single biggest key: Pressure Goff!! Early. Often. We know he doesn't do as well under pressure, and if we don't pressure him Sunday night, he may pass for 350 yards to wide open (they have good ones) receivers as our DB's can't cover a chair.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
We really stink at DB and special teams. Hopefully we dodge a bullet against Detroit.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
What the hell is Seattle thinking? Good luck to the next guy.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Kyren THE ONE THING Then.... last year's killer draft and Dotsonby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm 82 and have some modest kicking experience. Where are the tryouts?by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Not a headliner -- This kid can play. He'll be in the DL rotation next year and get snaps. Put him on our off-season depth chart analysis list. He showed lots of power a few times during this season just ending.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah... now I heard that the players went rogue and did that on their own...Senior Smith already has called his operations VP. No more fedex packages to or from the Saints!!by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay sure loved having his first mobile QB since he's been coaching the Rams. He must have died and thought he'd gone to heaven with Wentz being able to run the damn ball. McVay called what....16 QB runs!! Even in this crap game, it was nice to have a mobile QB -- the kind that typically makes life miserable for Ram fans. I was VERY happy with Wentz. Best backup we've had for years. Sign himby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
After blowing up at Dennis Allen post-game today (for running up the score), Arthur Smith probably called his dad. Dennis Allen and the Saints better start using UPS if they expect to get their packages delivered. :laughingby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I guess I'm the only one who get this right.. WR #1 priority! (Kidding!). WR and DB: THE two key areas of investment this offseason. A GREAT edge would be fine but I think the young guys will get better -- our present starters and young depth we have now on the roster. Yeah, OL in mid-round and resign Dotson.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
You may (probably) disagree... but hear me out.... .. does anyone agree? Consider the following: Kupp is slowing (other posters have pointed this out, and I agree). Kupp is never going to be vintage Kupp again. Maybe, he's a solid 2/3 maybe going forward. Tutu is a role player. Robinson is a FA (I think) so we may lose him. He's a good 3/4 WR. Skow is a terrible WR (no hands -- but goodby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Signing Dotson would be great news! Dotson is a bird in the Ram's hand -- much better than two in the bush!! Everyone loves Kyren Williams and the new found, tough, effective running game. Right? That running game starts up front. Dotson is our best run blocker. Let's go! Acting like good guards are easy to find is proven a falsehood already! Witness with the Rams crappy guard play for thby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for the helpful info. Going to be rooting for Da Bears!!!by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm sorry if this is answered elsewhere, and I am confident the Rams will rest starters left and right on Sunday BUT--what's the story with our final seed in terms of contingent winners/losers this weekend?by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I sadly agree with you KW13. Your point is not insignificant. And this is the way Snead will see it. Kupp can still play and even start if need be, but time/injuries etc invariably have taken their toll on Kupp, who is at about 90% "vintage Kupp" and that percentage will drop further next year. What an amazing player he has been! But...time moves on.... This leads me to my next pby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Play no one next week of any consequence. I don't care if we sit all our starters. Health is key. Rest is helpful. Prepare for the playoffs regardless of who we play.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought we'd be mediocre at BEST. Of course I didn't know that Puka, Williams, Turner, Young, Robinson etc etc were BALLERS.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Does the game impact our playoff chances? Quick opinion -- On today's game. The Rams aren't as good as they have looked in the past 5-6 weeks. Today was a regression to the mean of sorts, and the Giants played smart defense with their complex blitz packages. Also, there is lots of tape out there this time of year and teams are exploiting our piss poor talent at DB (across the board), and ourby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Good point. They are a very effective team when it comes to team building. I think Snead makes all the calls on draft day, and McVay is smart enough to let it happen without contention. On some of the videos from the Ram's draft room last year, you could see where McVay urged Snead to take Snead's guy Kobie Turner (higher than most projected) in the third round. Snead makes mistakes (all GM's doby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Great question. I have been wondering the same. Freeman played so well -- and ran so hard -- a few weeks ago. Yes, I think Rivers is now #2 at RB. I think Freeman would be a good #3 next year, unless there is something about his game that has fatal flaws.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Keep Gay and I'm fine getting rid or trading the others..... We are better off without Floyd--missing in action too often. Ramsey was so inconsistent and had turned into a head case. I'd rather have the young kids we have now on defense -- all with energy, talent, and "WANT"... But we sure could use Gay!! And the observations everyone is making about the OL is so true. Bby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
If I had to guess, you make a good point and I agree with you. Brian Burns is a plausible target, since they tried to trade for him a few times (from all reports) and have always coveted him. He will be very expensive so we'll see how high in dollars Snead will go to get him. On another note, I predict that Snead will trade his first round draft pick this year to accumulate additional picks tby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Apologies for being wrong about the $70M. My main point is to give full credit to how well Snead has rapidly turned the team around with astute drafting in all rounds, and judicious FA signings, and a trade or two. What a dynamic duo to have leading the Rams with McVay and Snead.by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Regardless of what happens for the remainder of the season, a big kudos to Les Snead! Let's stop and smell the roses -- many of which will be in bloom for years to come.... consider the following... well known but lots of "hits" both big and small... 1. Snead unloaded tons of starters and backups from last year's dismal team. Most of us, me included, thought this year would resulby nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you all! Your answers to my question make me more optimistic about the Rams getting in! Now please just beat the Giants. One worry: T. Taylor dinking and dunking (and scrambling) his way down the field to wide open receivers with the Rams playing a soft zone ....argh!!!by nantucketramfan - RamsFootballFans.com
