Rock, your assessment is right on. I kinda feel sorry for Wilson. And Hazlett's comment about Case is accurate as well.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I watched the condensed version of the 49er game and I think they looked good, better than I hoped or wanted. They looked tough and mean. They were going up against last season's best defense and I think that some of JG's interceptions were due to Viking pressure. What stood out to me was how often the 9er's receivers were open. Was that a lapse on defense, or slick offensive play calling andby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The pessimist in me is still too strong. Too many bad years to allow my hope to spring eternal because of just one great year. I hate to say it, but I am not a believer just yet. But yes, last year, I got to gloat alot with my fellow Detroiters.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow 43, Too bad you can't bottle that optimism of yours. I'd buy a pallet load! I hope you are right. The pessimist in me continues to speak bad things. Too many bad years.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I read her method and thought that there was a lot of fudge in there. Throw it up against the wall and see what sticks. Its a gimmick. Because it is now in vogue to talk about stats, people are doing it. They believe it sells and gives them credibility. If I had done work like that at my job, it wouldn't take long for someone to have gutted me in front of the bosses. I would not allowby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteCROMWELL21 1-Never thought Rams would sign Donald. I had some doubts but thought they would. To have had that Seattle QB Wilson say he's the toughest guy he's played against was more meaningful to me than his D player of the year award. 2-Loved the Whitworth signing but hated the Woods signing. I liked both, liked Woods more than Whitworth. Both turned out great. 3-Wanted Wentz aby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I always thought that when the Rams moved to St. Louis, that the rivalry between them and SF died down. I don't think the folks in St. Louis initially understood the depth of it. Maybe they were still living the rivalries they had with the Giants, Packers, whoever, I don't know as I didn't follow Cardinal football. I don't think many of the Ram's coaches in St. Louis did either. It was likeby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Of course AD is motivated by greed. So am I. I need a paycheck, so do you. If in my position, I could tell my boss, "pay me another 100k or I walk" and was confident I could get it, I probably would. I only get up in the morning, drive to work, put up with the work, just to get a paycheck. So do you. Please note that I made very few posts in this soap opera topic of AD and his cby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRFIP i say STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS SCOLDING HOT!! RFIP, do you mean "scalding" hot? Sorry, sorry, please forgive. I'm not trying to be the grammar/spelling police. I'm required to do a lot of writing and sometimes..... Don't hate me.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I remember reading an interview with Wentz, post injury rehab, and the reporter asked him if he was going to stop running so much. He replied it ain't gonna happen because that's his game. I like Wentz a lot and I wish him the best, but survey says he ain't long for the league.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I remember 43, and count me among the many who thought you were nuts, really nuts! But, you were right. Wasn't that great for us all? So, negative Ram fan that I am, because of you, I am more hesitant to take the negative view. I still got the bad history in my mind, so I'll need more winning seasons to come around, but I'm hopeful. In the mean time, please keep on putting out the positiveby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

I'm not an expert in all contractual things but if the Rams own AD for the next few years, why should they give him a huge chunk of change now? AD is contractually obligated to play next year for what he signed for as a rookie. Then, if I understand things right, the Rams could "tag" him for the next two year at some significantly higher rate, but probably not as high as free agent raby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The unimpressive Pete reviews the 2015 draft and his analysis. I give him great credit for his mea culpa: Quote"How I did: I liked the pick of Brown in the third, but I wasn't on board with Gurley in the top 10. Why? My philosophy is not to draft backs that high. He's a great player, and I thought he would be good, but position value influenced my grading. He's proving me out to be an idby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
You're right! Breakfast of champions! Thank you for posting.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with Jemach here. I remember reading some of pff's "statistical" work and was not impressed. That work would not have stood scrutiny in a professional environment. I think because so many people love football they naturally delve into many things that help understand the game. We all do to some degree or another. But it is a egotistical for someone to present himselfby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
You are a lucky dog! Grats. That is so sweet. Great memories for a lifetime.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I watch less of both. I have watched the Rams this season more than during the last 8 years or so. I never felt that I should devote my time to an organization that was not committed to putting out a quality product. Obviously that has changed and for the first time in a long while it was great to be a Rams' fan again. I almost never watch college football. I like to follow just a coupleby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, I also want to say that I've appreciated and enjoyed so much the work that so many guys have put into talking about all things Rams. Thank you.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree that ILB is our biggest weakness. Wouldn't it be smarter to trade our 1st for a proven ILB. We may not get an all pro but surely there are a couple teams with some solid LB they would trade? That way, you don't have to deal with the inexperience of a rookie in a position that requires experienced wisdom?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow 43, "gild the lily," such an appropriate use of that metaphor. Well done. I've done some writing in my time and I always appreciate English creativity, like, "a bouncing bowling ball of butcher blades."by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow, nice to meet a fellow fan from Italy! Welcome. Yeah, this is the most exciting Rams' offseason I've ever experienced. Its so good to see our FO really trying to win instead of hoping the same ol routine works out.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Well said La. AD and TG were both Fisher guys, right? There are a few other very good players still on the team. Fisher deserves some of the credit. Your comment, that he couldn't do much with the talent is accurate.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I found this one, I thought it was great. "And in other sports news, the LA Rams sign Defensive Lineman Sauron of Mordor... …and are rumored to be in negotiations with WR Lord Voldemort (currently with New England)."by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for posting the entire enchilada Old. Its a great, real-life story, and probably a great experience for you to get a glimpse into the future!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Well Old, Your reliable source was reliable. Nice. Let me know if he gives you advice on what stocks to buy. You get the prize! Congrats.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
This whole series of acquisitions has been amazing. I don't recall this ever happening in the NFL. Our FO swooped in and picked up a lot of talent. Whether they win, or don't win the SB, at least our FO is trying hard to put together a great team. Compared to the previous FO's performances, I'm appreciative and impressed. And isn't 14M/yr cheap if not moderate for a player of Suh's caliberby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Zn, Can you post a link to one of the "studies" that state that 60% of the cap goes to the top 10 players. I'm not disagreeing or arguing, I'd just like to read the article. I find that in the world of sports, a lot of peeps use stats in strange ways. You know the saying, there are lies, damned lies, and statistics. I googled and I found one article that showed that the topby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with you. He is not worth QB money. I would like to see the Rams use the rules allowed to them and make him a nice offer, but not at the detriment of not being able to sign good players at other positions. I expect him to hold up his end of the contract.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
