The obvious scapegoat is Darvish, and deservedly so. He seemed scared and didn't perform in the exact games that the Dodgers picked him up to perform in. The 2 worst starts of his career have came in the world series games, which I don't think is a coincidence. Just terrible. I think the bigger reason that the Dodgers lost the series, was the offense though. Seager, JT, Bellinger, and Puigby sacram - Bucky's Pub
its probably a good idea to have someone cover Jimmy Graham in the red zone That defense gave it away at the end.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
don't forget that his splits were actually better against righties than lefties this season: vs. lefties .229/275/.331 vs. righties .213/.273/.352 Having said that, I felt much like you going into this game. Kind of ironic that the only bad starting performance came from our only righty in the rotation.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
From Mitchell's newsletter today: —I take back what I said about Joc Pederson being in the lineup. Let’s discuss Pederson for a moment. Here’s a guy who is the biggest cheerleader on the bench. No matter how well he did in a game, he was always the first to applaud and jump up and down if a teammate drove in a run or hit a homer. He was basically the starting center fielder for two years.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
Alex Wood, WOW, what a performance!! What a bounce back game for this team!! Bellinger was 0 fer, and when the Dodgers season was on the brink, he came through big time. And thank god Roberts didn't pinch hit Chase for Forsythe AND also thanks for finally giving up on the Granderson project, and giving Joc a chance!! YES!! 2 more wins to go guys!! GO DODGERS!!by sacram - Bucky's Pub
Darvish made the decision of when to pull him easy tonight huh? Wow, tonight was why the Dodgers picked him up, and he rewards them with the shortest start of his career. So disappointing... EDIT: I saw this on Dodgers.com after posting: Of the 49 pitches Darvish threw, only one generated a swing and miss. That represents the lowest total in any start of his career. Darvish wasn't hurt byby sacram - Bucky's Pub
it was predetermined before the game that Hill wasn't going to face their lineup a third time. If that is the case, then why is he starting game 2 of the world series for us? The only scenario that is comparable in recent memory, was in these playoffs in game 2 against the DBacks. Hill went 4 innings while giving up 2 runs, but he was at 78 pitches and Farmer ended up pinch hitting for him witby sacram - Bucky's Pub
When you say the bullpen has been on fire, that certainly doesn't include Stripling, Fields, and definitely not McCarthy!! After I posted this morning, I got the newsletter for the Dodgers Dugout from Houston Mitchell of the LATimes. He broke down some stats in that article: --Let’s talk about Rich Hill for a moment. Dave Roberts pulled him after he pitched four strong innings Wednesday,by sacram - Bucky's Pub
he didn't even pinch hit for him, he just pulled him after 60 pitches, while giving up only 1 run in 4 innings striking out 7. Hill getting pulled that early, moved everybody up earlier out of the pen, and both Morrow and Kenley threw the day before. Also the use of Stripling was a real head scratcher. If Morrow is going to come in if the first guy gets on with Ross throwing, he might as wellby sacram - Bucky's Pub
Those last 2 drives leading up to the Kupp TD were a thing of beauty. Rammed it right down their throats and there was nothing they could do about it. Take away the brutal non pass interference call, and it likely would've been 2 scoring drives. Arians looked sick to his stomach on the sideline watching, it was awesome!!!by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
how sweet it is, and a bye comes at a good time with all of this travel!! We are relevant once again, very relevant!! GO RAMS!!!!by sacram - Game Time Forum
How sweet it is to have some of the part time players step up big time. Kiki, Culberson, Forsythe, etc. And how about the big 3 of JT, Cody, and CT3, man did they come through when needed. Don't need to say anything about the pitching, both starting and the bullpen, they have been lights out!! And man Roberts has been incredible, what a great hire as the manager of this team. Out all oby sacram - Bucky's Pub
Johnson seemed to run out of gas like a D linemen would've making that return. I thought he may have pulled a hammy for a minute, as he completely pulled up.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
1st and 10 at the Hag 16 and we pull Gurley for Austin on first AND second downby sacram - Game Time Forum
it will be interesting to see how Ray pitches on 2 days rest in game 2 after throwing 2 1/3 innings on Wednesday. You'd think the pitching matchups for the first 2 games definitely favor the Dodgers with that factoring in. Hopefully we got off on the right foot tonight with Clayton throwing.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
from what your seeing in the all 22, how much nickel and dime did the Dallas D play?by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
that's the first thing that stood out to me about the offense in yesterday's game. The Cowboys loaded up the secondary as it seemed that there number 1 goal on defense was to take away our WRs and their intermediate to deep routes. Goff couldn't of targeted WRs more than about a dozen times the entire game. So the Rams took advantage by giving the ball to Gurley in both the running and passingby sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow, Ram football is fun to watch again, AND we are winning. Cheers Mark!!by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Greinke-Ray, Nats-Diamondbacks. Whatever route you have to go, its gonna be tough no matter what.by sacram - Bucky's Pub
that will probably be Robbie Ray, 14-5 with a 2.95 ERA and 212 Ks in 155 1/3 innings. Not much of a drop off there, if any. I'll be pulling for the Rockies for sure!!!by sacram - Bucky's Pub
especially the one that took place on the last play of the 3rd quarter. Double coverage and they got beat to the ball by a short receiver. Uggghhhh!!by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
I was thinking the same thing. We have to be top 5 in the NFL in holding calls during punt and/or kickoff returns.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Never heard of it before today....seems idiotic. So if someone catches the ball at the 5 and returns it 50 yards and there are off setting penalties, the returning team gets penalized for 50 yards? Seems like the returning team is gonna get screwed 90% of the time on that rule.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Kupp and the TEs are obviously his go to guys. I'm thinking that a look towards Sammy once in awhile might not be a bad move.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
At first I thought it was just cramps, but after watching the replay, it looked like a non contact leg injury. Anyone hear anything on this injury?by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Peace and comfort to Nelson's family.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
At times he seems to just put his head down and run straight into the pile, which I don't like, BUT there were plenty of runs where a defender or defenders met him just as he took the handoff, much like last year. He did take a couple big losses towards the end of the game which made his stats look worse, and of course there were two big runs that were for over 30 yards that were called backby sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
