For those of you not familiar, Norm Chad (aka The Couch Slouch) is a humorous sports writer (among other things). His weekly column appears in my local paper. At the end of each column he has a Q&A section where he allegedly pays people $1.25 if their question is published. Today he has a special Jeff Fisher Q&A edition. (fyi Shirley is his assistant. Sometimes Chad writes a clever rby AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Kroenke signed Fisher to a 2 year extension before the season. My guess: if the Rams went 9-7 or better this year Fisher would still be HC. And if the Rams showed improvement 2017 Kroenke would have honored the 2nd year of that extension. And if the Rams did well in 2018 then Fisher probably would have gotten a 3rd contract and taken the team into the new stadium. Kroenke essentially hedgedby AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
If I remember correctly Jeff Fisher was the biggest name out there when the Rams hired him.by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Is the assumption that a bigger name would be a better head coach?by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't know if Fassel is continuing the policy but all of Fishers QBs had to wear a knee brace on their left knee (for right-handed QBs) just as a precaution.by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
lol - I just logged on intending to pose the same question!! While it's likely that the Rams' offense has been all Boras it's possible that the boring, predictable, ineffective offense has been due in part to some restrictions that Fisher placed on Boras. C'mom, Coach Fassel: release the Boras!by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
"Ultimately, it's not about the flash on day one but flash on all the days the follow." In most cases that would be true. But Kroenke is going to start selling PSLs in January: the only thing he'll have at that point is flash. For that reason alone he's going to need a lot of 'wow factor' with this coaching hire.by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
What we don't know: Did Kroenke fire Fisher because the Rams weren't winning? Or did Kroenke fire Fisher because selling PSL's would be difficult as long as Fisher was the HC?by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams don't have a FB on their roster. Probably figured they didn't need one ...by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it's just part of their 'color rush' uniform for Thursday night.by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Let's see Goff take another step forward. Go Rams! KKKRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK!by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Kroenke should build a stadium in San Diego and lease it to the Chargers. San Diego wins: the team gets a new stadium and it doesn't cost the city, county, state, or team a dime. The Rams win: they get LA to themselves. Kroenke wins: another revenue stream to feed his need for more money.by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

One analyst said "any team with three decent passing game weapons can beat them." Sweet! The Rams only need to pick up two more decent passing game weapons by Sunday and they'll be all set!!by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com

I haven't watched a single minute of a Thursday night game so far and will only watch the Rams game this year (for the umpteenth consecutive season). That being said the NFL could address the short-week, crappy-product issue simply by giving teams their bye the week before they play on Thursdays. (10 days off before their Thursday game, another 9 days off afterwards). I know that wouldn't wby AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
3-1 coming off a 3-game winning streak, 1st place in the Division: what better time could there be?by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
According to overthecap.com the Rams will probably get 3 comp picks next year: a 3rd for Jenkins, a 4th for McCleod, and a 6th for Fairley. That 3rd round comp pick will go to TEN along with the Rams 1st rounder, leaving the Rams with the following 8 picks: 2nd 3rd 4th 4th comp 5th 6th 6th comp 7thby AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
It's amazing watching him pre-game. He'll practice from his own 40 and punt down to the 5 or 10 yard line ... and every ball will bounce away from the goal line. (I watched him warm up against the Jets and I don't think he had a ball roll towards the goal line let alone into the end zone.)by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Looked to me like it was his left hand. Anyone see (or hear) anything different?by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
What if they strip him of some of his 'power to fix' in the next contract? (i.e. Give Snead final say on draft & FA and give the new OC final say on the offense (including play calling).)by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Hold on! I meant to say 8TDs, not 3! (Crap - it's too late now ...)by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Has anyone heard what the starting OL will look like today?by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd love a win, but at this point I'd be thrilled with 3 TDs from the offense regardless of the outcome. (I hope I've set my expectations low enough ...) GO RAMS!!! KKKRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK!by AlbaNY_Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
