Thank you for sharing. It’s mind-blowing how he’s able to process all of that in less than a few seconds. I know it’s easy to say Baker Mayfield for MVP with all the injuries they’ve had. But man, Stafford’s numbers are better and he’s operating at an insane level. If Stafford sustains this, I don’t think there’s any way he doesn’t win MVP.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd like him to use more 3 TE looks, but I realize that's not what McVay does when everyone is healthy. What was that stat I heard? Something about the most 13 personnel in like five years? It's not McVay's thing. I get it though, if something is working, why change it? Still think it doesn't hurt to have something else defenses must prepare for. Could be just execution, but I do wby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
just don't make me do it again! ;)by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
And I agree. That should be a big part of their redzone strategy moving forward. It was so nice to see TDs in the redzone last week.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Detroit is a good team, no doubt. One of the tops in the NFC. But fear? No way. I wouldn't fear any team this year. This year especially, anyone can beat anyone. Respect the Lions, absolutely. But they can be had.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Those defensive numbers are impressive. I'm still not comfortable with our corner situation. They've played better the last couple of weeks, but I'd feel a lot better with another solid addition there. I know, easy to say, hard to do.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
They (secondary) played better on Sunday. They closed better on those short middle routes, and it appeared like they were in more man-to-man looks. So maybe a combination of changing things up schematically but also playing with better technique led to better play. I agree with you about needing to improve there. I'm still not sold, specifically at corner. Getting Witherspoon backby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think I’ve told you this before, but I’m just south of KC myself. I follow the Chiefs closely, but I don’t consider myself a fan. Although I do root for them if the Rams are out of it. Rams-Chiefs SB would be friggin’ sweet. Let’s see another 54-51 barn burner.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
I, unfortunately, remember that game, but I didn’t know the detail about the arrival times. That’s interesting, though. Maybe it is better to just practice on the east coast and then fly out on Friday. I wonder if there are instances of this?by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams were in Baltimore still and left on Friday. Yet the Jags looked sloppy and slow, and the Rams looked sharp and fast. I figured this week would be another squeaker we pulled off at the end. You never can tell. Sports are weird.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote21Dog Forbes--getting involved physically. I was thinking that watching the game, too. He’ll never have enough rocks in his pockets to drive guys backwards, but at least he was sticking his nose in there and actually dropping his hips to use his legs.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Without Puka, we don’t really have another receiver with his blocking prowess and physicality. Plus he’s good on those tunnel screens which I noticed we ran a lot with TEs today. But to your point, the Jags apparently blitzed a ton, so the short passes and tight end screens were a great way to beat that.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
I’d love too see it stay even when Puka gets back. We’ve spent lots of capital at the position, so we might as well use them. Loved the screens and quick passing game right off the bat. Kept the Jags on their heels and got everyone involved and heads in the game. This is gonna be a sweet couple of weeks. B):beer2by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Didn’t watch the Eagles game today, but he’s looked more hesitant this year. 345 carries in just the regular season last year. Most carries for him in a season before that was 295 in 2022.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Not something you see everyday. Pretty sad when you’re offside AND you get blown up.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
And without Puka. And after an overseas flight. Great, great, great win. Great things all around. Ferguson with his first TD on a bomb; Stafford and Adams on the same page; spreading the ball around. Oh, and scoring TDs in the redzone.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams_43 Might actually be a blessing in disguise, tbh. In my reply to Speed in another thread. Being forced to spread it around might open things up, especially in the RZ.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Gonna be tough without Puka. Might be a blessing in disguise in one way: Stafford has to look somewhere else. I think spreading the ball around more might help loosen things up down there in the RZ. I still think they’re close to breakout game, but I don’t think this is the one. Long flight, no Puka, and Jags aren’t a slouch. 5-2 going into the bye would set us up nicely to heal upby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Link: Redzone Performance Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but it seemed extra pertinent considering the other posts about this topic. The Rams are ranked 24th in RZ TD% and ranked second to last in redzone scoring. Definitely a big problem.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
And I don't mind Pillsbury brand cinnamon rolls, but for me, nothing beats homemade. Plus, I love to bake. Mostly because I have a giant sweet tooth and I know what I like lol. I probably should've put cinnamon rolls in my favorite desserts post on the Pub.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
So they’re gonna do a “number” on them??? I would mention the other joke that came to my mind upon reading your thread title, but I enjoy posting here. Anyway, I think you might be right, but I also think HH makes a great point in his post about Lawrence’s running threat. That dude basically beat the Chiefs with his legs. He made some really good throws down the stretch, but it was the lackby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
But as an upper elementary teacher, I have to remind students all the time to think before they say/act. It's OK to have strong feelings in reaction to something or someone, but we need to think about what our next actions are and their consequences. About 50% of teaching elementary is teaching kids how to be well-functioning human beings. No Rams fans, but I do have one that wants to beby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
You could probably put chorizo on a pile of s$#% and I would consider eating it. If I'm in the vicinity, it's the right location (because not all of them serve breakfast), and the right time, I'm going QDOBA and getting a chorizo breakfast burrito. Give me some sriracha (or Cholula) and I'm in heaven.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
A lot of what you said is advice I give to my students. Great stuff!by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Indeed I do! It takes a little time, but the results are way better than store bought, IMO.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
Easily my favoritest meal. I'll probably have a sausage-egg McMuffin and a couple of hash browns. One for me, and one for the kiddo. Might make a batch of cinnamon rolls to go with it. Of course I'll be drinking coffee. Gotta have cold brew, though. So used to the high energy contents of energy drinks so I need that extra extracted caffeine to wake me up lol. I love srirachaby Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
What a thoughtful post, Steve. I thinks that's what a lot of folks, including me, wanted to see. I haven't seen anything posted on here lately that I would consider "over-the-top," either negatively or positively. I'm not trying to tell others how they should feel, so I apologize if that's what it sounds like. However, I haven't seen anything that couldn't be smoothed over.by Drew2839 - RamsFootballFans.com
