To me, 10 TDs on a horrific offense is pretty special and many big plays over 20+ yards. I think Cunningham is much more overrated that Austin. He is an above average #3 runningback that is good on special teams and hasn't delivered those big plays that Austin has delivered in his entire career summed up that Austin often delivers over a few games. Now is Austin worth 5X more money thanby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Is there any indication if there is a medical condition and is the drugs contributing to it or vice versa? In any event, a position that once looked deep has big question marks after Gurley. Cunningham is serviceable #3 guy, but if Gurley goes down, that is a significant drop off. He really isn't a 20 carry per game type of guy. More of a Utility special teams, a few 3rd down blocking tyby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Some of his problems was the offense was just bad. But he doesn't get a free pass for lack of concentration and dropping balls all over the field. However, I think Cook will look like a different player. Just a prediction from past trends.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Lots of underachievers on offense here with Fisher and previously in Tennessee. I don't think they get developed very well at all. Quick, Britt, Cook - all tremendously physically talented and none really came close to their talent level. do we really have the coaches who can develop these guys? Austin - has had success, but most of the time, it is his physical abilities making somethiby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
As you say, since he was drafted 8th overall, you want more. If he was a 3rd rounder, I give that grade an A. But he has made more plays in the last few years than most players on the Rams have made in a decade. Again, his lack of development as a WR is consistent with every other WR fisher has had in 15+ seasons. He just doesn't develop players on offense.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Probably not fair of me, To think already that Boras is going to be nothing more of a puppet and we will continue with the same 6 plays. 1) Off Tackle Gurley 2) Sweep Austin 3) Quick Screen Austin 4) Delayed Tight End Scree 5) Britt 10 yards out and turn around 6) Throw it deep on play action up for grabs. But I think it will be the same 6 plays over and over and the defense will callby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
the quick change of direction in tight spaces, start, stops, sideways, go one way and change directions with out losing speed, etc. It is closer than I thought a couple of years ago. I think Austin may have more power. But Some of the moves Hakim made, I have not seen by any Ram including Marshall Faulk. But I like Austin as well and can understand your take.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Not at all sure he's gonna be worth the $12 million in '17, TBH. Maybe, but my God, take away Austin improvising and making big plays with his ability, the offense has little left other than Gurley. You know that the actual offense is not going to generate anything so having Austin to use his speed is almost a necessity in this mess. They have to be able to generate something out of nothiby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
While he does not have the elusiveness as Az Hakim, he is a threat similar to him. I think his lack of development at WR is consistent with all other WRs under Fisher in 15 years, but he is producing more than you give him credit for. If under a different coach, I believe he be much better. I think he is a better punt returner than you categorize him as also. And he can run fast, veryby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
and even though the Rams have the more talented QB, unless there is change to the offensive approach, he has to play blindfolded and 2 hands tied behind his back. But that is a great post and a great comparison.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
A guy could go 7-9 and may be doing a good job if all of his players are having career years, but when players have down years and it is a trend, than you should wonder why are these players not as good this season or that season.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Foles is a much better player if Arians is the coach. When you have a offense that is predictable to read and plays that other teams run have no chance of being ran, the field shrinks and gets crowded. Defenses have little to account for. Receivers can't run routes, and the QB has fundamental slippage. If Arians is the coach, Foles plays closer to how he played with Kelly and is a much beby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

some of the most incompetent work of all time was done by the triangle of Pace Ziggy and his agent. or was it? Pace and his agent, I believe felt he could make as much money if not more by playing with the tag for a few seasons. Plus, he got to abandon the team and skip the preseason work every year. The Rams have a good collection of top end talent, that much is far sure. I can't remember 2 physically gifted players like Donald and Gurley ever. Maybe, Faulk and Pace match up with them with talent, but that is about it in Rams history. But I think the Rams will fall short as games will be lost to lesser opponents playing the kicking game. You may lose a game to the Bucs or 49ers that yby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Calson palmer 2008 season is what you get though if FIsher was coaching. A QB that has like a 90 career QB rating, with Fisher it would be like the one year he has a QB rating in the 60's. Pick these QBs worst years and that is what you get from them with the Rams and FIsher. He has a way of bringing out the worst of these guys.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think assistants that bounce around a little can take the best of the best of all the head coaches they worked for and package up their own little suite of To Do's and Don'ts Head Coach #1 - does these things well Head coach #2 - does a different set of things well and so forth and steal and package all the various good Than it comes down to executing the concepts and delivering.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

he stays completely hands off on offense. If you look at him overall, he does well in many areas, but is so bad on offense. Have the Vermeil talk with him that management had before that 1999 season and keep him out of his major weakness and I think he makes a good coach.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes. Everybody can make a case that a QB makes all the difference in the world. That is a given, but with Fisher, the theme is always the offensive player plays under their talent level, including QB. I see Foles play his worst football of his career here, but did well elsewhere so Foles is his problem. He doesn't think that Donald will continue to excel if Fisher leaves? Possibly He doesn't think that Gurley will continue to thrive if Fisher leaves? A young team that can play the tempo with multiple talented runningbacks to put up those 40+ carries a game, and one of the best gadget players in the game with Austin. the young offensive line would probably benefit from dictating tempo and attitude versus having teams game plan their weaknesses and getting attacked on 3rd and 8.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
If I was ranking the Rams, I say this: What the team should be: top 5 on defense top 10 on special teams top 15 on offense What I think it will be is: top 5 on defense top 10 on special teams #24 on offense (I say between #30 and #32 on offense, but Gurley is so good, he is going to have a few games where he goes off and has record breaking days, skewing the picture a little bitby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
Players tend to play at a lower level than they should and it has been going on for 15 years. This team with Gurley, Austin, and now a #1 QB and a young offensive line with a #2 pick at Left Tackle is running out of excuses. Gurley is a top 10 player in the NFL. I am biased, but I think he is a top 5 player. But the problem lies with a passing game that is the worst in the NFL. How inby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com

The Rams for a few years were dead last in the NFL when we ran out practice squad guys out there with Sam Bradford year after year. The talent is much improved, but the results are still underwhelming per a combination of bad fundamentals, bad scheme, bad routes, bad route running, bad QB play, bad overall offensive coaching. the WRs should be much better than they are specifically Britt anby Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
the overall picture of the drafts over the past few years is good. But nothing wrong with hand picking a few. The Robinson has basically nullified the trade with the Redskins for RG3. If coach Chip Kelly can prop up Nick Foles as a 27-touchdown, two-interception quarterback What is amazing to me is how many believe Fisher is a great offensive coach and Chip Kelly is bad. Yet, we see Foles do well with Kelly and horrific with Fisher and it goes on and on from there.by Rams_81 - RamsFootballFans.com
