Complex doesn't always mean better. I remember a year some time ago where the Redskins ran the counter trey all year long with great success. This wS that famous hog OL who were just huge people movers and they pushed defenses down the field and big John Riggins got a ton of yards. This was their favorite play. The D knew it was coming and yet couldn't stop it. Not saying we should necessarily doby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Agree. These depth charts don't exactly apply to us. We really run a 4-2-5. We blitz a lot with one or two of the back 7. We have two former safeties as out two LBs. they are both fast enough to blitz, cover and tackle sideline to sideline. Joyner is our nickel and can civer quick middle of the field plays. Our outside CBs are big and physical. Our safeties are hitters. With our DL and blitz packby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
One other thought in this drama. Why did Joyner feel dissed in the first place? Instead of convincing Him to stay with a story about some old QB Lamarcus has never heard of why not have the talk before camp if why he's important to the team and why Fish considers him a starter? Something like, hey Lamarcus, Coach Fish here, just wanted you to know we're signing a CB today. We think he'll helpby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
We are looking to go 19-0. Why hope for 9 wins?by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Intolerable Max? Wow. I can see being frustrated or impatient that Goff isn't ready yet, but intolerable? I don't agree with every Snisher decision. But going up to get Goff was brilliant. He is a major talent and I don't think we overspent at all. Before the draft the talking heads all raved about this kid and said it would take time. You would have to wait but he'd be a franchise QB. Now thosby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Dunno Mama. Maybe he doesn't care about the money. But, I'll bet his agent will.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
TG30 will catch more passes but will get a lot of carries too. I get that before a season it makes sense to say we would limit his runs, but in the heat of battle the Rams' best play is to give their best player the ball. We do have other runners. And they will run the rock too. Sure, we might pass some times but that is not a club strength. Todd skated through PS with limited hits. Now, he's gby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com

73, I'm wondering if you're serious about lining an OT out wide to block a CB. You do realize that no 300+ man is going to be quick enough off the snap to block a 180 lb 4.4 speed CB, right? Quick is big, strong and fast. He can jolt that CB and get downfield to block a safety. Britt is a good blocker as well. TG30 and Benny are really good rubbers, but the breakers are caused by downfield blockby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Hopefully he has a young guy in mind who can play safety as well as a young Jeff Fisher. That '85 Bears defense was the best!by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Ayers was making a bunch of Stupid Penalties. Think Hager is the new starter who doubles as Tree's replacement.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe I'm a dumb optimistic but I think we will win this season. First, a fully healthy TG is going to be incredible. I like our OL with Hav back. Got some serious beef up front with a 330ish GRob, 325ish Saffold, 300ish Barnes, 320ish Brown and 320ish Hav. Our OTs are young and talented. Lend rocks and Higbee should have good years. You didn't even mention Tavon who can score anytime. Our D lby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Who is the cat who wrote the original story? Have to say hating on Fisher because Goff isn't starting on the road against the Niners is beyond silly. I think we will run TG30 25 times and Case will throw a couple of slants and screens and our D will Shut them down. Then we play the Hawks who have a SB caliber D. Glad Case starts here too. Look for Goff in about a month.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Um, JG had been third string all along. He's a raw rookie. No NFL snaps. He's behind CK who has some NFL experience and finished as our starter. Mannion is our backup. Has had a few live NFL snaps and has looked like he knows the system. It doesn't matter who has the most talent. He can't move up until he knows the plays. Goff will be our starter sometime. But he is not ready. Sure this can be aby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
and that was a miracle. A tremendous one!!by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
That does sound like a good idea, but RS was having problems against Denver and the Niners like to bring rushers from the outside in their 3-4. RS seems like a Pro Bowl talent at guard, but mediocre at OT. Last year Hav was the only OT in the NFL not to surrender a sack. He only is one heck of a run blocker. You are probably right and maybe they'll switch around after a couple of weeks. I onlby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Actually yeah. He was depth on the Texans and rather than cut him we gave them a 7th round pick. Since then, he's worked up to a #2, then he successfully stepped in last season with barely any reps and played well for us as a starter. He is now a #1 starter on our squad and has looked really good in camp and in PS games. For a star 1st string QB you are talking multiple 1's. Case isn't reallby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I really don't want to trade Case at all. Think it would be a big mistake. But, if I were to trade him I would want a second rounder. Goff isn't ready. Mannion could play in a pinch but has almost no regular season snaps. Going with two raw players in our division against those great defenses seems super dumb to me. I would like to start Case and bring Goff in at home versus the Bills. But, definby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Well we did lose a DB who looked promising for the year. And there's still another stupid practice game Thurs night. Hope we do stay healthy. I think it's one of the biggest keys in a team's success. Rarely does a team lose a star player and still wins.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
So for most of camp we have GRob, Wick, are reg OC, Brown, Saffold. But, last year's best OL is Havs who is now back for RT. I'm sure he'll go back to RT and RS goes back to LG. Wick sits. But, am I the only one worried that we'll start our first game against a good blitzing Niners team in their house with an OL who haven't played even one PS game together? Everything I read about OLine is thatby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com

Thanks for the reply. I don't Buy into Fisher's explanation. If ther's a bigger roster each team should enjoy equal depth. It would stop a sudden advantage for a team who suffers injuries and suddenly are caught short. Every time I think it through it comes out sewage.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com

Every season about this, cut down time, I ask myself in a stupified voice, "Why does the NFL go down to so few?" I can understand every team not having 90 man regular season rosters and even 80 looks crazy on a college sidelines, but 53? With several of those few needing to be inactive as well? I think the actual roster game day is 46. Why? Why? WHY??? It's not like there aren't mby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com

Couple of thoughts here. First, most teams that get the first overall pick got there by being the worst team that season. We were 7-9 and won in the toughest division in football. So we are Not some horrible team that might as well just worry about developing a QB. Goff isn't ready to play yet. The coached who watch him every day agree he is still too raw. This doesn't mean he sucks. He's notby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
