Gaines looked like a budding star his rookie year. I think we could be underrating his potential this year.by rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't really get the infatuation w/ Spruce. He had one good showing against Dallas', what, 2's? 3's? I think Thomas is the superior talent. But maybe this suspension will do him in. whoooooooooooooooo careeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss Is the season here yet?by rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
But this is ridiculous. I do wish we had gotten a chance to see Mannion play last year in the midst of our dumpster fire season. I won't deny I'm curious about his talent. Hopefully we've got a solid backup to Goff should we ever (hopefully not) need him! Also these "Hot Take" shows need to die a hasty and excruciating death. What ever happened to real sports journalism? Sheeby rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
"It was a P.R. move but within reason." What was the goal of the PR again? To make the players expect huge contracts without performing? To make the fans think our front office is full of morons? If those were the goals, mission accomplished. It was a bad decision. Period.by rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
This jersey is absolutely timeless. No need to change a thing!by rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
His best year ever, he gained 907 yards from scrimmage (rushing + receiving), fewer than Kenny Britt's 1000 yards receiving last year. Here's another fun fact: we gave him a 42 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT. Whenever the Rams win their next Super Bowl, I will be in the stands, proudly wearing my Tavon jersey as a reminder of just how much GARBAGE we had to put up with from this organization beby rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
1st year is tough for any coach, and there's no denying McVay has a big job. But I think he's focused on two things: Installing the playbook, and Goff. Gurley will be fine, and the OL is Kromer's responsibility. Not to mention the help he's getting from a vet like Whitworth. WR's and TE's have significant room for improvement, and to be sure McVay will work on developing them, but they takby rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com

Fisher was the king of excuses, and that attitude permeated his football team. I read a nice little tidbit in Andy Benoit’s profile of McVay last month, that he was listening to "Extreme Ownership" by Jocko Willinck and Leif Babin, a (fantastic) book that preaches essentially the opposite of what Jeff Fisher was all about. Hopefully it’s a sign of McVay’s attitude going forward. I loby rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com

There's a story I love about Bob Hoover, a famous pilot, from his autobiography, about a time he was in a plane crash: Quote"Investigators found that the plane had just been fueled by line personnel who mistook the piston-engine Shrike for a similar turboprop model, filling the tanks with jet fuel instead of avgas (aviation gasoline). There was enough avgas in the fuel system to taxi toby rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com

The problem with something like Cal's Bear Raid in the NFL mostly comes down to the massive imbalance of talent between DL and OL. There are just far more talented defensive linemen than offensive linemen. This means a couple things: NFL QB's don't have nearly as much time in the pocket as college QBs More receivers = Fewer blockers, so it's easier for defenses to commit more to playing theby rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
Also, think about how good Gurley was his rookie year. Now think about how atrocious that offense was compared to what we expect this year. DJ isn't the only RB with a shot at division MVP.by rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com

I've heard several sports podcast beat this dead horse: "The Rams are awful, AND they have the 3rd least cap room this year!" Which appears to be true: Obviously a single-year snapshot of the cap doesn't tell you much about how we're managing the cap overall, but I'd be interested to know what gives you confidence in our cap management, since my knowledge doesn't extend beyond thby rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
If Snead's not responsible for contracts, who is? Demoff? If it's anybody other than Fisher, our cap management problems threaten to persist, no?by rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
Fair enough. Still, I think we're making the same point. Whether he's definitively better than Miller or just debatably better, the point is that they're in the same conversation, and Donald's pay should reflect that. I for one will celebrate when he gets his paycheck- he's certainly earned it!by rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com

Sure, I'm excited about our FAs and draft picks, but none have them have actually played any snaps for us. I was excited about every draft class and FA class before this. And sorry, I missed the answers to the firing of the scouts and snead's contract handling; would you mind repeating them here? I've said this elsewhere, but if we can't pin the blame for bad picks and bad contracts on Sneaby rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
TST (via Football Outsiders) "Los Angeles Rams: 8-8 (8.1 mean wins; SOS: 20) The Rams have been trying to compete with a defense and special-teams orientation for years now, but hiring Wade Phillips could finally make that recipe work. If he can't be held responsible for bad contracts and draft picks, what the heck is his job?? I do agree that it's good to see us bringing in smarter guys with a bigger focus on 'mindset', but that could easily be chalked up to the McVay-colored glasses I'm wearing.by rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
First of all, does anyone know if we fired any of our scouts this year? Or is that staff unchanged from Fisher to McVay? On Snead...I feel like we're all giving our GM and the rest of the personnel department a free pass right now. I'm excited about the new coaching staff too, but I'm very concerned about our ability to build a roster moving forward. Snead has demonstrated poor decision makinby rambleon - RamsFootballFans.com
