Still not fully conscious. Still confused and tries to remove medical attachments when he "wakes". I'll report any changes. They say it's going to take time. The support and love from all of you means a LOT to me. I can't put it in words. I'll never snark at any of you again. Probably.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
Michael regained consciousness briefly Tue evening but was still too disoriented to play nice with all his medical attachments so he had to be lightly sedated. He is no longer intubated, just sleeping.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com

My son-in-law, Michael (ARF), was out for a morning run yesterday and was struck by a car. He is in ICU, still unconcious. No broken limbs, but a partially collapsed lung and a skull fracture and severe concussion. Stable condition, good prognosis, but still needs your prayers. Thank you. "Our guy" could mean the guy we would most like to have if we had our pick from the whole draft. But that's not realistic when you don't have a high first round pick. OR, "our guy" could mean the guy we would most like to have of the guys that we expect/hope to be available when we pick.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
:noway Honestly, I don't have it. I've never watched local news much. It wasn't until everyone started prodding me about it that I realized what was up. Then I watched it (once, and only once!) on the station website, and double face-palmed. Now if I had been interviewed about sheep ****, THAT I would have kept. That would have become a digital family heirloom.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
you could link us to some of your better interviews, lol. :innocent Funny non-football story - one winter morning when I lived in western Washington state, I set off for work in a snowstorm. It only snows a few times a year there, so the roads, the tires, and the snow removal equipment are not prepared. It was 5 AM, dark, the road winds along a river valley, the snow was covering black iceby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
You know I love reading your posts. Welp, you've pretty much convinced me on Kendricks. Once upon a time I thought pretty well of him, but like so many offensive players under Fisher, no improvement, and maybe even regression. Will be interesting to see how much he plays in GB, and if he still ranks so low there, too. I expect Everett's blocking will be subpar for the NFL, but I wonder hoby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
Quick signed with Washington, by the way. Is there any irony there? Maybe just a bit. Kendricks is with the Green Bay Packers. Should be interesting. As you may have read a couple of days ago, I told SpeedKills that I thought our rookie receivers would be used and would have at least some impact on the offensive production of this team. My main belief was simply that I think that McVay dby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
"All 3 seem far and away better than their '16 predecessors, with all due respect to the injured Higbee. How can you possibly make a statement like that at this point? There's just nothing to support it but sheer optimism and youtube highlights! They haven't even been through a training camp, much less a preseason, much less even one regular season game. I think you've nailed the factors involved, and very good point that everyone here would like to have hope. I think that at various times and to various degrees, I am on both sides. I hate to be told to abandon hope for the season, cause there's just no way it's going to be any better this year. I really hate that. to that game against the Colts in 2013 with Kellen Clemens quarterbacking. It's was probably Austin's best ever game, as he caught a bomb for a TD and returned a punt for a TD. But those aren't the plays I'm thinking about. It was a play in the 3rd Q, Clemens gets a little pressure but steps up out of it and hits TA sneaking left to right underneath the coverage. But some rookie WR's DO actually come on to teams and start and catch passes. I've seen it happen, lol. The majority struggle. Absolutely true. Kupp seems different to me, though. I can't see him being perplexed or overwhelmed. Not as sure about Reynolds or Everett. As regards my quoting you about them not "doing squat", it wasn't from this thread. First of all, I think that comparisons between any of these guys and Quick are off-base. Quick wasn't just raw, he was, as it became evident, levels away from being ready to be an NFL receiver. And, frankly, I don't think he was smart enough to ever learn how. And he was timorous to boot. Now, Salas and Pettis comparisons I get. They were non-div1 guys who had been very productive. It was probably on the OC (or the HC?), who seemed to be counting on the receivers to catch a 5 yard pass and turn it into a 7+ yard gain, but they seldom seemed to make that work. In fact, I would swear that opposing defenses were just baiting the Rams by letting them have a short area clear, but prepared to tackle that guy right away as soon as the mouse took the cheese. Besides hands, that also requires receivers who don't run 5 yard routes on 3rd and 7. That's been heartburn for a while now, too.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
that after years and years of hopes gone awry, I half expect Cooper Kupp to come to the Rams and start dropping balls left and right? Am I that beaten down?by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
They're OL stinks and they didn't address it (except for Whitworth -- Sullivan is old w/bad back). Whitworth does indeed help. I thought some lineman that played OK for rookies in 2015 seemed to regress in 2016 as did the whole offense. Perhaps in year 3 and with new coaching they won't stink, or won't stink as bad. You have to allow for young players to improve from year 1 to 2 to 3. Jby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com

Sounds like you had a great time. It's very good to read those tidbits from Vinny. It would have been fun to be a fly on the wall as the Rams prepared for this draft. I'm sure they had some of the same discussions that have occurred here on the board, but at a much more sophisticated (and polite?) level. By the way. Have you ever considered changing your handle to "Optimist Prime"? You're one of the pillars, 43.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
But I just want to so I'm going to do it anyway. This is long so if you don't care, or just want to get back to the draft, I wouldn't bother reading it. The danger here is that I'm going to come across as lecturing or holier-than-thou. What I want to do is make some observations based on my own thoughts about Herd discussions over the years. As it happens, I am one of those who hasn't put much research into this draft, and am content to just watch it unfold. But I've always been in favor of hearing different points of view, not just an "amen" chorus. Being respectful is key to getting along. And that means listening.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
