This is not just about the player's talent. Cooks is a good receiver. He will stretch the field. I'm even surprised he had 4 red zone TDs last year. Now...will Goff do to him what Goff did to Watkins? The concern...and my criticism of this trade is not that Cooks will or won't help this year. My concern is will he be here after this year? We have gambled with a #1 pick along with havby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
"The Rams are all in..."?by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
If you haven't read the move Gurley posts, I'm not in the business of finding them. They are on this board. As for winners and losers, if you go to Rams radio, you may find a bit of bias. I listen to national radio...and Dallas radio...there is no emotional tie to this team. And...they have almost all applauded the Patriots move. I'm not saying they don't like the Rams side...I'm saying thby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I would would be luke warm on the deal. However, there are serious problems if he walks. We just got out of the rental business and now we are back in it. If they sign him fine. But, I've been watching the management team's inability to sign our top players. It appears, by words, that the Rams have a line on getting Donald signed. But what if they don't? Isn't that cause for concern?by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
we will have the answer. I like that. Everything the Rams are doing says we don't have the guys on the team...but let's ignore that.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't know if you remember my continuous points on Robinson...I call Robberson... Well...get ready if it doesn't work out. 2 one year rentals 2 one year rentals 2 one year rentals 2 one year rentals 2 one year rentals Ok...that's enough for now! :spintoungeby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I get this "in McVay I trust" stuff...but that's you...not me. I think the Rams are going out on a limb. This last trade was desperate. You trade for a guy at the peak of his pay on the rookie contract and have zero assurances he will be with you next year...all for your first rounder? I see people on the bandwagon on this deal yet want to get rid of Gurley after his rookieby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
when they do or don't sign Cooks, or lose other stars because of Cooks. Barring a Super Bowl, there is no way you can say this is a good trade unless you have zero objectivity.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
you want your team to be right. It's the homer affect. And what the deal with Reynolds? Are we really thinking this guy has game? If Reynolds could sniff that position, the trade would have never been done. C'mon guys...give it up...Reynolds is inches below JAG.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
there are those on here think money is the root of all happiness. Yes...he got paid. But you don't think he has an emotional tie? Is he some robot? You ever hear of the Kennedy's? Money has bought that family "a lot of happiness"!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Assuming he will produce... If they don't sign him long term and don't win a Super Bowl, this trade is a failure. Another one year rental, now for a #1 pick, is stupid. And getting a 3rd rounder back means zilch in the analysis of this trade. Contribute and sign...if not...they rolled craps.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I've watched HIgbee for two years...I "painfully" watched Everett, another Snead project, for a year. As further evidence to my "speculation"...the Rams have talked to numerous college prospects at TE...they main a concerted effort to sign Tyler Eifert. So...back to the speculation... So..speculation? The speculation is that these guys will develop into anything.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
you are gambling... Gambling that you will win it all Gambling that you will be able to sign these guys Gambling on not getting injuries with so little depth Gambling on sacrificing the future for this season It's lots of gambling...is it worth it? We are about to find out.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
New England thinks it's worth more than Cooks. That position could end up being a Pro Bowler. Who knows? Rams were desperate for a downfield WR. As I have been saying, and as this trade supports, the WRs we have behind Kupp and Woods are not going to anything but limited role players. This "let them develop...hope they develop...they will develop" was a pipedream And...I'mby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
A fifth at best? Maybe he is thrown in as a swap of picks for the Rams to move up? His cap number is manageable now.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Suh was not a trade for picks. Peters draft effect isn't felt till next year...but...I'll give that one since we will have a player on the field during 2018 for consideration of the analysis... Free agency was never viewed as "a draft"...at least how I looked at it. Our draft "this year"...includes... 1) a lost second round pick for Watkins 2) a traded first and sixby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
You have to look at the overall picture of what the Rams have done. First and foremost...if the Rams do not sign Cooks to a LT deal (that is reasonable), and he walks after one year, this is absolutely an asinine trade. Demoff and Snead better get it done. They better get Donald done. Otherwise, we are looking at losing two of three next year...Donald, Joyner, Cooks. Donald has to looby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com

At least he performed like it. You can't move Kupp to a first rounder because of his performance then leave Everett in the second round. Very inconsistent application of rationale.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
All over a couple million dollars on the cap. The Rams are putting little value on the 1st round pick. Cap hit...short term rental...lost draft picks. Woohoo!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I was listening to Pat Kirwin today discuss the explosion ratings from the combine. It's a combination of a number of drills. I can't claim to be an expert on it but they were discussing the top players. I'm sorry I didn't get a long list but I caught three players. 70 is considered a good score. Kirwin said that he had 4-5 guys as 7th rounders with scores exceeding 70. Three I caugby jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't see them giving up 2 - #1s for Beckham. That depletes the 2019 draft...no 1st or 2nd rounder. I could see... 2018 - 1st round pick 2018 - 4th round pick 2018 - 6th round pick 2019 - 5th round pick I didn't add up all the points but I don't see them giving up more that a collection of day 3 picks with the 1st rounder this year.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
having to pay in the $20 million range. This tells me something...The Rams are not thrilled with what they have behind Kupp or in the red zone. If they thought they were ok, they would never consider paying this price. We need a solution.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
All the above. And know it is MUCH appreciated... I do appreciate all of our draft analysts... It's how I prepare for the draft!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
considering give up 2 first rounders and about $20 million is a bargain? Talk about absurd!by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
Two first rounders and $20 million a season. How stupid. As I've said, based on this Watkins is a basement bargain. And, if they don't sign he before the trade, it would be a colossally foolish move.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
So much for consensus. But, I like the varying views of these guys. I'm going to go watch some video. I was talking with my buddy about the need for red zone and he said his name before I could finish. He thinks the same as you. The write up I read was more optimistic than Oz's view.by jemach - RamsFootballFans.com
