New England thinks it's worth more than Cooks.
That position could end up being a Pro Bowler. Who knows?
Rams were desperate for a downfield WR.
As I have been saying, and as this trade supports, the WRs we have behind Kupp and Woods are not going to anything but limited role players. This "let them develop...hope they develop...they will develop" was a pipedream
And...I'm telling you all now...the same will happen for the TEs we have that are rated below "JAG".
This Cooks trade smacks of desperation to me. New England stood strong and we caved according to the reports.
Assuming Cooks can block and score 8+ TDs, this trade is pathetic unless we sign him.
Like I've said...Donald has gained leverage because if they don't sign him...kiss 2 of 3 goodbye next year...Donald, Joyner or Cooks.
If we start losing guys because of this and have no one to develop going forward, the ONLY way this pays off is if we win the Super Bowl.
