When I first started using Google Earth that crash site was one of the first I looked up. It was hard to find back then.... today the waypoint is marked, (if you have that layer turned on). The on site memorial has built up considerably since back then. Hard to believe they actually took off in that weather, especially with a 22yr old pilot!by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I can talk myself into any scenario. But I do think should we win the SB this year the chance for a "Repeat" would be hard to pass up... especially for someone who has put in this many seasons already and possibly with a reasonable chance AT a repeat. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Well.... I haven't check today.... just a second - - OHHHH, it's changed. Now it's saying morning showers at a 50% chance. Couldn't be worse for us if it rains... we're a passing team - Wasco is nothing BUT run. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
My prediction is that Tulare Union easily handles Kingburg Friday. Unless they have an off game. As always Kingsburg has top notch coaching but not their usual wealth of talent. We lost to them but it was VERY close. Other than our team I'm most interested in how Bakersfield Christian does... I think they could beat most of the Div 1AA teams... but not Central. No one is stopping Centralby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but the Northern Lights HAVE been visible here in the past... several times - but it is rare. Nothing as spectacular as your area but a few I've seen were darned good. The best show I've witnessed was driving home from a Rams game on I-5.... wee hours of the morning. Late 70s I think. Nearly horizon to horizon, (east to west), and fire red with tinges or orange and yellow. I was listeninby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
We have some media coverage here but all short blurbs.... often no more than announcing the HS names and the date and time of the game. EXCEPT.... The big schools in Fresno/Clovis area who do get a lot of coverage; and deservedly so. Go get get 'em, Casey. And did I read this right... 2pm kickoff (your time) on Saturday?by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

Hope you all have a great "Free" day!!!!!!!!!!!! My granddaughter put this collage together for me today. Top - My Dad, Yours Truly My Son.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but up pops what you said - the defense was opportunistic. On the rare stumbles by the O it seemed almost certain that the D would come up with something incredible at precisely that time and the offense went right back to work. I came to expect it. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
happened in '99..... the team, yes, but something more specific than that. I've posted this before, several times - - On 3rd and whatever.... 1 yd or 99 yds I KNEW they would get the first down. I had never before, or since, been that confident about any aspect of their play. I'm not sure writing this adequately conveys the level of confidence I had in 3rd down situations. It was surreal.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
at least there is for me. In all my years I've never gone into a game thinking "we can't win this"... so I always have 'some' confidence. And right now... this feels great! Most confidence I've ever had? I don't know... I don't rank seasons in that way. All I know is when game day arrives I'm feeling VERY good no matter the opponent. And it wasn't only this last game that hasby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
But that was the most impressive performance by our OL this year, IMHO.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
that Purdy hasn't done. Like they say in boxing - "You have to BEAT the champion to take the belt". I don't think there is any doubt that Purdy takes over when he's ready.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
you have to factor in the time Mac had mostly due to an intentional lack of pressure by the Rams. Any QB given time, elite - good - or bad - is going to find a target. That doesn't, however, explain Kittle IMO. That was a failing. I think the Rams dared Mac to beat them... he didn't, but he damn sure took advantage of the time he had.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
it will be as glorious as the win today! This mid-season is as meaningful as I've ever seen from a 'mid-season stretch of games'. . - Jamesjmby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
We all wish that hadn't happened but it's very likely those 'failures' lit a fire under them. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Stopping McCaffrey on that 4th and very short peaked my excitement meter. Just don't see that from the Ram's very often.... and for years. hate to admit I was surprised by it.. but I was. Shocked, to be honest! - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
The D does NOT keep the pedal to the metal if the Ram's get any kind of lead whatsoever. It just 'appears' to me that they start playing cautious.... not a 'prevent', (although they do that as well with a big lead), but just as crippling as a prevent. And I think it's bad for morale among the D players. It's like they're chomping at the bit to get with it and they get reined in. But thby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't like that about myself but it is what it is. Final gun sounds, win or lose, and I'm thinking "gotta game next weekend... time to get to work". But Today? I'm going to savor this one today. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it happened to all of us today.... Ram's were in control that game.... yet we, or at least I, found it hard to breathe even with 3 minutes to go. Offense was masterful today..... as I said on the GTF..... 'methodical'. In the past I heard, time and time again, had Shanny was 'schooling' McVay.... well TODAY.... McVay was at his best and every scoring drive today was a work of art.by JamesJM - Game Time Forum
rook in McVay offense? not sure we could expect much more than what's he'd going at this stage of his career. It's early, no doubt... but no complaints so far. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Game Time Forum
