Not sure you're watching Dog but maybe... Hell of a win tonight for the Oilers. Headed back to Edmonton down 3-2.... and when you start 0-3 that's quite something. I'm pulling for the Oilers however - I have to admit that Florida seems to me the better team and by a good margin. Florida's transition to O is nothing short of spectacular. I do. Of all weather phenomena wind is the one I hate the most. So it's really odd that the ONE day I want wind... it disappears. Lord Squidly will not fly today. We went from 12mph wind to 0 in less than a minute. I can't even imagine how disappointed you guys are. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
From Lord Squidly making his first solo flight. Family is all here....burgers are on the grill..... excitement has peaked. By the way: Did I ever mention that I'm THE worst Kite Flier that ever existed on earth? My success with kites is like .00001%. If Lord Squidly follows tradition he will arise to an altitude of about 20' then suddenly begin to swing violently left and right - - - gettiby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

there is so much going on in sports right now I'm not sure which you're referring too. Right now I'm mostly trying to follow the qualifications for the upcoming Olympic games. Not as easy as it used to be. Coverage is poor.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
summer and winter. There are definitely more summer events that appeal to me than winter events but love them equally. I did go thru, still going thru, a bit of resentment when snowboarding took over and now almost completely dominates in coverage. It's not that I don't enjoy the snowboarding events but it's so popular, with youth especially, that they've put other events on the back burner.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
and I don't mean the 'movie'... I thought the movie was ok. What I mean is the creature itself. It did not look organic to me... more like a robot than an actual 'being'. Which it was, of course, But you know what I mean. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
are the only ones on this board that consider the Olympics the biggest event in sports? I could be wrong. But... In my family Olympic fever is boiling over. This is IT, for us.... the essence of sports. We're re-arranging schedules, events, obligations... all so we can be in front of our TV's when the Olympics begin. that I should get on the board and see that you posted about Alien. The reason - last night I came VERY close to re-watching it. I don't think I've seen it since I saw the first time in a movie theater. I was very surprised when I looked at on.... I don't know, one of my streaming services.... how many 'name' actors were in it. Sigourney I readily knew but the others I hadn't forgotten abby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

I very much suspect that there is simply too much luck involved on this course. What would normally be a perfect T-Shot won't stay on the fairway and balls in the middle of the green and nearly at a dead stop, imperceptible movement, can roll off the green and 10yds off! Granted that a course this tough CAN display the incredible talent of pro golfers but over the course of 4 rounds if you'by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

But like you I haven't flown a kite since..... I can't remember when. Being in the country, however, I had a unique benefit. my Dad and I could jump in his pickup, or in mine in later years, and follow the escaped kite until it came to a rest and retrieve it. Today the wind picked up a little... finally. Maybe 8-10mph. Lord Squidly would FLY!!!! Then my grandkids told me they're leaving for some dumb school function so poor Lord Squidly. Oh, by the way... For about 7 or 8 years my band played on the coast in and around the San Luis Obispo area. About a 3 hour drive. So returning home, never earlier than 2am, listing to Art Bell was a habit of mine. No traffic... sometime bright moonlight and sometime none. Very remote area between San Luis Obispo and my home. Rolling hills with ancient and giant oak trees. Farm land. my kind of party. :laughing Once or twice a year I am forced to attend big parties. The kind where you can't hear the music. You can't sit down. I watched a video some time back... a guy I heard on the "Coasttocoastam" radio show with Art Bell many years ago. I was returning from a band gig, wee hours of the morning, and as was my habit I turned on Art Bell. it does look somewhat like a mic BUT.... if it is, (and it may be), isn't it mounted UNDER the rim of the tom, not over the head? If so...
