Props from the movie were scattered all over Universal City Studios and easily seen from the tour Tram. In fact... for those 'old' enough to remember the movie and with a keen eye some of those props are still lying around.... although today the tour guides no longer mention them. Actually I did give up golf for a very long time..... injury. Bad shoulder.... I couldn't physically play any more so I retired from the game. I don't remember how long I was in retirement but it was a long time....15 years? just fell out of my refrigerator. I was standing in front of the fridge talking to my daughter. You're about to accuse me of exaggerating. I'm not. The spilled soy sauce covered every item in the refrigerator. The counter across from the fridge. The floor as far away as 15'. Both my daughter and I from head to toe. Many years ago we went to play Spyglass.... 3 of us. We stopped at our local course, (Fresno West, gone now), to get extra golf balls. We told the Pro at Fresno West we were headed to Spyglass and he decided to join us. Our Pro was a damn good golfer... as are most Pro's. Carried a 1 handicap. So we play Spyglass.... I know most here couldn't care less about the NBA BUT..... everyone here can appreciate the stress and anxiety that can occur by watching sports.... in our case the Rams. Last night the Thunder were basically facing elimination... down 2 to 1 a Loss would have meant having to win 3 games in a row to win the Championship. I became a Ram fan in the late 50's. I don't remember the exact year... but I'm somewhat sure it was 1958. So I was a fan for 40 years before the Ram's won the championship... NFL then the SB. '99 was a dream come true.... and I remember saying, on this board, that I would never complain again because, BY GOD, I lived to see the Ram's win it all. And I hold to that to this day. At one time I would have thought the same, I admit.... but the FO and Coaching record since McVay was hired had proven itself to me.... same for you I'm sure but what I may see differently is: It has to do with how they prioritize specific positions.... efficiently assessing need coupled with availability. One of the last I saw was The Outlaw Josey Wales.... and I agree, one of his best. But I think The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is my favorite. And the music track from that movie is incredible. Not having the plane configured for takeoff would be one HUGE mistake by the pilots (flaps). I do not recall ever hearing so much about how tough a course is than I did regarding this year at Oakmont. But is it that tough? Well, the leader is 4 under after his first round with the favorites yet to finish their first round as of this posting..... and maybe 7 other golfers are under par. I know a lot of people who have them and I am constantly getting ads for them BUT.... I'm clueless. I would guess it's not much different than what Apple Watch has? But maybe they do more, just don't know. I don't use the 'fitness' apps on my Apple Watch all that often.... when I do my walk/runs I turn it on to monitor my progress... and I check my heartbeat rate occasionally but that'sby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
