If you listened to the Rams press conference right after they drafted Simpson, McVay referred to pick #13 as an extra pick. He said they were going to take TE Ferguson with their 1st round pick anyway and ended up getting him in the 2nd round, while picking up #13 in 2026. He and Snead looked at that #13 pick as a bonus pick, so why not see if you can possibly get your future QB with that pick?by PaulButcher59 - RamsFootballFans.com

Sam Leavitt will be an interesting guy to watch now playing in the SEC with Lane Kiffin. Leavitt is one of those guys that has an IT factor to him. Minnesota QB Drake Lindsey has been another QB that is drawing some 1st round consideration from scouts. College will be fun to watch this coming season.by PaulButcher59 - RamsFootballFans.com

You mentioned Sorsby, Sellars, Mestemaker, Maiava, Manning, Moore, and Sayin. That`s 7 QB`s, but no CJ Carr mention. Is he not a top QB prospect in your opinion? I think he will go top 10 for sure if he declares. I can see 1 or 2 of these guys not declaring if the quantity and competition is too strong and maybe they don`t have a great season. Being a left hander myself, I always pulled for left handed QB`s to be successful. And I just love the way Young played the game. Crazy to think Atwell (5`8 7/8) would get drafted as high as he did weighing 155lbs. Running a 4.39 really isn`t very impressive at only 155. Tyrek Hill (5`8 1/8) was 185lbs, ran 4.29 and went in round 5 (no risk). Hill didn`t put up as good of numbers in college as Atwell, but 155 is still 155. I have this feeling Mestemaker may stay at Okie State another season and potentially become QB1 in 2028. I have had Manning and Carr going 1-2 for a while now. Moore is probably #3. I am not worried about Manning having a bad season. His confidence is there right now and has a good supporting cast. The pressure to start last season in Columbus was ridiculous. Ex-track athlete. He builds to top speed quicky and is nice on screen passes. Only 1 fumble last season on 234 touches and just 1 dropped pass. His 3 cone would have been 4th best overall at the combine, tied with Kaden Wetjen at 6.95. Would be best for RB`s. His 4.29 20 yard shuttle would have tied RB Emmett Johnson as the top RB. Also I think he has a lot of developing to do still. He is not as advanced as Simpson even if he is a better talent. I`m gonna pull a Les Snead here, but instead of insinuating a rookie draft pick could get injured an not contribute right away, I`m going to say that one of our star players could just as easily get injured. The way Puka plays, we know its going to be very hard for him to be healthy enough to play 20 games next season. If he misses a few games, it`s not an issue unless its playoff time.
